Average brown ale. Brown color and small tan head. Medium body. Caramel malts make up most of the flavor. Light to medium body.

12oz bottle. Toffee brown orange color. Mild roasty aroma. Lots of dark malt flavor, very rich, borderline Porter territory. Some nuttiness does come through. MIld stuff, a lighter side of a full bodied brown. Very well done. The best Brown Ale from Kentucky that I’ve ever had.

12 oz bottle pours a murky brown with a tan head. Coffee and toffee aromas while yielding a hoppy and chocolate body.

Pours a translucent brown in color. Only about a half inch of head forms on the pour, and is quickly gone. Smell is very roasty brown malts and some hops. Taste is more of the heavily roasted malts, but there’s a good amount of bitterness coming in at the end. I’m not sure if it’s the hops or something else. An alright beer, but there are much better Brown’s to drink.

Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Reddish tinged brown color with a very slight off-white head. Aromas of chocolate! and roasted malt. Near medium in body, rather creamy carbonation. For me there’s a light sour touch, with chocolate, and mildly roasted malt. Finish is neither sweet nor bitter, and that chocolate aspect sticks to the end.
