Sparky27 (711), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Nov 29, 2008 On tap at Big Pour Mesa. Pours a light amber with a small beige head. Nose is grassy hops and malt. Taste is sweet malts mainly with some decent hops in the finish. Lighter mouth feel. Decent hoppy for a lager. finol (63), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden Nov 28, 2008 Served from Bottle (not via glas)
I will re-rate this properly later, but served in clubs after a few macro lagers this is how I rate it.
My colleagues comments were that the beer that I´d orderd (B L) smelled, and tasted like perfume, my explenation that it is american citrusy hopps was´nt bought...
However, this is a good beer that leaves a veile even when served in the bottle. Skidds (214), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Nov 28, 2008 Pours a dark gold/light brown colour. Malty and hoppy flavour aroma with hints of some caramel and nuts. Medium almost full-bodied beer. Excellent JCastner (57), New York, USA Nov 28, 2008 Wonderful light brown color. Aroma is of smoked malt and German hops. Light mouth-feel with some of the light graininess that youd expect from a Vienna lager. Finish is crisp but mellow. Excellent. One of my favorite versions of this style. Once again impressed by Brooklyn. daknole (1125), Plantation, Florida, USA Nov 27, 2008 Tasting at Brewtopia. I will say that for a Lager style beer this is pretty decent. Amber pour. Whitish head. Aroma is malty and hoppy both. I get some sweet floral hops, some caramel and toffee malt. Flavor lends itself to a good balance between hops and malt without having that normal nasty lager flavor that so many beer get stuck with. Pretty refreshing and tasty.
