25th June 2008. Beautiful Belgian style ale. Loads of of fruity and herby flavours in a cloudy golden-orange beer. Like Duvel or Inferno but more aromatic. Highly quaffable despite it’s abv.

Bottle @ In de Wildeman, Amsterdam.
Pours light muddy orange with a nice, staying, egg-white head. Aroma is sweet, yeasty, black currants, grainy malts. Highish carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, yeasty, some fruit, oranges, malts, grainy, red apple. Pretty delightful with a fair fruity dryness in the finish.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour. Velvety texture. Raspberry-like aroma with honey-like malts. Sweetish aroma. Feels rather sugars. Fairly low bitterness.

Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam Hazy, orange body. Off-white, creamy head. Sweetish orange, bit caramel aroma with hint of honey, vanilla and other citris fruits. Lightly bitter, moderately sweet boring, dull flavour. Not bad, but lacks character and a spark to make it interesting.

(Bottle, In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 3 Aug 2009) Cloudy amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, apricots and spicy hops. Slightly vinous. Fruity, malty taste with mandarin, orange, apricots and fresh, spicy hops in the finish. Full body, fairly sweet. Brilliant balance with alcohol well hidden beneath fruit and hops. Excellent beer!

On tap. Pours a slightly cloudy gold w/ a white head. The aroma has sweet notes of fruits and a touch of alcohol. Flavor is sweet throughout, never really seems like an 9.6% beer.

@ KBC festival ’s-Hertogenbosch. A hazy golden colored beer, with a small, thick off-white head. The aroma of fruits with some alcohol and caramel malts. The taste is fruity, like orange with hops, some alcohol . It’s a little bitter and some sweets. The aftertaste is bittersweet too.

Muddy golden brown color. Slightly sour aroma, with a hint of something earthy/grassy. Flavor is slight hops, light hops, and mild citrus--no element overpowering the other, resulting in a nicely balanced beer.
