Bottle. Dark brown with a beige foam. Aromas are dark treacle with herbal notes. Molasses with hints of citrus and liquourice. Cola with some roast character. Flavours are sweet cola and lemon with chocolate and acidity towards the finish. Rich malts with a nice fruitiness. Decent.

2nd August 2008. Cloudy brown beer with a frothy head. A litte sourness, a little caramel.Mild frothy finish and some more mild sourness lingers on the tongue. Very drinkable if largely unremarkable.

Unfortunately I was three sheets to the wind when I glugged this back, but I do remember being impressed. Lovely malty flavour, good body & balance & a nice slight sour/bitter finish.

Bottle. Thank you René! Hazy brown with a large fluffy light brown head. Aromas of dried fruit, caramel and yeast. Flavour of sweet malt, sugar, warming alcohol and yeast. To sweet and one-dimensional..

Bottle, bought @ Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam.
Pours hazy brown with a giant, frothy, beige head. Aroma is lightly tart, lots of dried fruits, caramel, yeast and raspberries. Light carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is very sweet, lots of Belgian sugars, yeast, raspberries and alcohol. Just generally far too sweet.
