| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 6, 2009 A Mes rate. Bottle at the Weekend of Tarts After Tasting. Rich dark brown with a thin tan head. Vanilla, oak, caramel and adorable notes of crème brûlée. The oak and vanilla are SO well done and the Amarillo give a really great balance. The honey is integrated perfectly and reminds me rather a lot of Thornbridge Bracia. Excellent bitter chocolate finish with late caramel and more oak. Really good stuff. A very pleasant aroma of roasted malt, liquorices, mocha, coffee, chocolate and fruit. Flavor is as aroma, mild but distinct roasted malt, mocha, bitter chocolate, coffee and hops. Amazingly balanced and smooth, with a Belgium touch. Full bodied and an aftertaste that goes on forever. No alcohol, just a smooth warming feeling. Really great stuff, thanks to the bartender for the recommendations.
