Almost black and thick liquid with a brownish thick head. Smells of fresh ground roasted coffee, very appealing. Tastes like coffee and has a characteristic woody finish. Lingering aftertaste of chocolate. Great beer.

Tap @ 1st BBF, De Molen.
Pours completely black with a big, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, lightly smokey, coffee and well roasted. Low carbonation, great dry and oily mouthfeel. Sweet chocolate flavour, lightly roasted, a touch of liqourice. Really weel composed.

Bottle 50cl.
Clear dark brown color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, licorice. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090320]

A Mes rate. Bottle at the Weekend of Tarts After Tasting.
Rich dark brown with a thin tan head. Vanilla, oak, caramel and adorable notes of crème brûlée. The oak and vanilla are SO well done and the Amarillo give a really great balance. The honey is integrated perfectly and reminds me rather a lot of Thornbridge Bracia. Excellent bitter chocolate finish with late caramel and more oak. Really good stuff.

On tap @ In de Wildeman. Pitch black body with a nice, dense, rust red head. A very pleasant aroma of roasted malt, liquorices, mocha, coffee, chocolate and fruit. Flavor is as aroma, mild but distinct roasted malt, mocha, bitter chocolate, coffee and hops. Amazingly balanced and smooth, with a Belgium touch. Full bodied and an aftertaste that goes on forever. No alcohol, just a smooth warming feeling. Really great stuff, thanks to the bartender for the recommendations.
