Theis (2484), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 17, 2008 Draught at GABF 2008. Clear amber - offwhite head. Berries, malty, sweetness, grassy, honey, sulfor, flowery. Nice. KUEric (579), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Oct 13, 2008 A good, but not great Octoberfest. A little bit tart and the flavor seemed a little too quick hitting. It was good, but then it was gone. Not a lot got left behind as an aftertaste, nothing lingered. JCB (1124), Durham, USA Oct 8, 2008 Couple pints on tap at Watts Grocery, Durham. Very nice amber color, vibrant and glowing, with a soft creamy head and moderate carbonation. Very nice aroma of fruity hops, a bit of honey, and the faintest hint of a roasting. Sweet in the middle without being cloying, and there are enough hops for contrast in this relatively thick-bodied beer. Finish is long and fruity. Decent example of a style I usually feel meh about. dkachur (1058), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Oct 5, 2008 Served on tap at The Federal in Durham, NC. Clear reddish color with a small head. Toasted malt aroma with leafy and vegetal notes. Taste is caramel with tart roasted grain notes. Medium bodied. jrob21 (915), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 28, 2008 On tap at barleys in asheville. Poured a typical clear brown color. Aroma of light caramel and toasted malt. Flavor was a little out of balance with a metallic bitter finish. Looked good but followed through with an atypical type of drink.
