Nov 17, 2008 Draught at GABF 2008. Clear amber - offwhite head. Berries, malty, sweetness, grassy, honey, sulfor, flowery. Nice.

Oct 13, 2008 A good, but not great Octoberfest. A little bit tart and the flavor seemed a little too quick hitting. It was good, but then it was gone. Not a lot got left behind as an aftertaste, nothing lingered.

Oct 8, 2008 Couple pints on tap at Watts Grocery, Durham. Very nice amber color, vibrant and glowing, with a soft creamy head and moderate carbonation. Very nice aroma of fruity hops, a bit of honey, and the faintest hint of a roasting. Sweet in the middle without being cloying, and there are enough hops for contrast in this relatively thick-bodied beer. Finish is long and fruity. Decent example of a style I usually feel meh about.

Oct 5, 2008 Served on tap at The Federal in Durham, NC. Clear reddish color with a small head. Toasted malt aroma with leafy and vegetal notes. Taste is caramel with tart roasted grain notes. Medium bodied.

Sep 28, 2008 On tap at barleys in asheville. Poured a typical clear brown color. Aroma of light caramel and toasted malt. Flavor was a little out of balance with a metallic bitter finish. Looked good but followed through with an atypical type of drink.
