Sweet malts and mollasses come to the fore and strangely I get a hint of cheese rind on nose. The taste is rich, with demarara sugar, thick malts, but its slightly bitter. There is a tinge of sourness as well, a big but very good beer. A7 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.6 spkevin (62), Doetinchem, Netherlands

Just a thin cream film over its dark brown/reddish body. No lacing either. Smell of roasted malt, raisins, and smoke. Taste was the same with hardly any bitterness from the hops. Nice beer but I wish there was a stronger bitterness to it. fobar (65), Søgne, Norway

Malty nose with notes of red fruit and roasted malt. Slightly vinous. Malty taste with red fruit, raisins, brown sugar. Roasted malt and caramel in the finish. Full bodied and fairly sweet with alcohol rather well hidden, coming through with some warmth towards the end. Tasty and warming beer in good balance. Very nice.
