| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 1, 2009 A sturdy white head on top of a yellow body. The smell is metallic. I had to bite my way to the liquid, and that was a hopy experience on its own. The beer itself is hops before and hops after. The body is its means of transportation. No more, no less. The palate of bitterness is one dimensional, and is even boring after a while. The metal stays omnipresent. What started out as promising, ends in a bit of a disappointment. Aroma I found to be a touch artificial especially the sweetness. Soft in the mouth, its definately hoppy but there is a cloying sweetness, with honey dripping through and the malt and alcohol also in evidence. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 6, 2009 Tap @ Arendsnest. Pours yellow-gold with fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus and light pine. Taste is somewhat sweet if this were an IPA (which I now see it isn’t). Some citrusy hop presence in the flavor as well. Decent palate with a finish of some alcohol and hops.
