330 ml bottle thanks to KornDogg. Poured cloudy brown in color with a medium beige head. Aroma is malty, with toffee, dark fruits, anise. Tastes of toffee, raisins, anise, orange peel, and a fair amount of spices. Not bad.

330ml bottle, Au Trappiste, Paris. Dark bronze body, creamy offwhite head. Dark fruits on the nose, light roast, brown sugar, sultanas and liquorice. Thick and creamy palate, rich with medium carbonation. Lovely richly flavoured body with plenty of plum, dark cherry, anise and mollases. Very nice indeed!

bottle thanks to boomer0813. poured brownish amber with a beige head. aroma was lots of malt, raisin, fig, slight earthiness, and licourice. flavor was tons of black licourice (which i do not like at all) and prunes. body was medium-heavy with low carbonation. taste makes me cringe everytime i take a drink. i hope i dont have to drain pour this thing, but hey it was on sale for 5 bucks.

Brewed in Begium..... Halloween bash 2009. Pours dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and dark fruit. Taste of spices, raisins, malts and a hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium in body and finishes sticky sweet.

Good enough if not particularly memorable. Lots of cola and toffee to taste and smell, although milk chocolate note persists on the nose. There’s sweeter cooked / stewed fruit note as well. Mild hops to finish and surprisingly dry kick in the back palate. Subtle beer.
