Draft. Rich amber beer. Tart, sour and woody aroma. Fruity, tart flavor with honey, sourness, and wood. Medium bodied. Tartness lingers with dark fruit and honey.

Stone Sour Fest 2009 Poured a rusty murky brown. Nose was sweet with candi sugar and raisin. Taste was too sweet, mostly dark fruits.

Stone Sour Fest 09. So happy to have been able to try. Beautiful red/brown color. Great nose, slightly funky, some tart & sour, also dark cherries, light plums other dark fruits. Very well balanced between funk, tart, and fruit. Smooth smooth smooth. Might not be the best for folks who like their sours more strident, but this worked really well for me. Think it’s aged beautifully. A wonderful treat.

Stone Sour Ale Fest 09. This was a real treat to taste. Dark cloudy reddish brown pour. Plum, chocolate, leather, tart apple, hint of cherry, caramel malt, and citrus. Sweet with some aged notes and a bit of tart. Complex and really tasty.

Stone Sour Fest. Copper brown. Nose is sweet and lightly tart. Taste is tart, leather, and a little crunch. Sharpness in the back of the throat. Smooth and yummy.

Stone Sour Fest, San Diego 2009. Clear dark brown color. Lightly cherry aroma with a dark fruit sweet taste. Very good and big hit.

Tap at Stone Sour Fest 2009. Pours dark brown with ruby highlights. Weak aroma of some malt and a bit of funk. Taste is both tart and sweet at the same time (leaning more toward sweet) with a little funk. As my friend mspindler points out, the finish has a Sprite/7-Up quality to it.

Tap at Stone Sour 09. Past its prime like a mother! Wasn’t even sour! Nose of sherbet, yeast, and that Flemish silliness. Color was a very appealing dark hazy red - very flat (surprise, haha) no head. Flavor was like an Americanized Flemish blended with an imperial red. Yeah. Sweetish, overripe plums, very mellow lemon rind, smooth finish.
