SaintMatty (556), Tallinn, Estonia Dec 3, 2008 Bottle - Amber/brown in colour. Lightly hoppy aroma with chocolate, caramel and grapefruit. Hoppy and fruity taste with chocolate and grapefruit. The finish is hoppy and fruity with a pleasant bitterness. Codythegreat (121), Carrollton, Georgia, USA Nov 30, 2008 After drinking some crappy beers I tried this one, and Rogue never fails to impress. Pours an amber/honey colour with a white head and has a malty/hoppy taste and slightly bitter. I drank this out of a shaker while eating crab cakes. BeerFanDan17 (415), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Nov 27, 2008 A very tasty strong ale from Rogue. Hoppy and fruity, nice overall balance and good flavor! FatguyRacer (94), Crownsville, Maryland, USA Nov 27, 2008 Awesome deep translucent amber color that was almost pearlesent. Big fluffy, merange like butterscotch head that unfortunately disapeared quickly. Aroma of sweet hops. Crisp and dry on the palate with a nice bitter hop aftertaste that didnt linger longer than necessary. Malt undertones are welcome presence. No trace of grassyness like you get with an overhopped ale or IPA. This is one very well balanced ale. One of the best i’ve had in a long time. A pleasant surprise for me, as I have avoided buying it for the longest time. I’ve often dissmissed Rogue brews just because the bottles and beer names seemed too gimmicky. I glad I was wrong mikkopen (139), Oulu, Finland Nov 27, 2008 0,36 l bottle. Hazy reddish orange colour, thin but creamy off-white head. Sweet fruity-malty aroma, with berries and oranges. Medium-bodied and smooth. Caramel-malty flavour has some honey sweetness and a nice aromatic hoppy finish.
