fakepurseninja (578), Washington, USA Dec 1, 2008 Another bland PacMan yeast dominated, stale malt mess from Rogue. Not much pine from hop or trees, not sure why there is a prominant pine tree in the name and bottle art. Kind of spicy with a skunky veggie note. yespr (7785), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 30, 2008 22 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a huge white head. Mild spiced and slight pepperish fruity hops aroma. Bitter and malty flavoured with a light spice note. Caramel and bitter in a good mix into the finish. Quite dry. daniele (933), Italy Nov 21, 2008 ambrata discreta scxhiuma piutosto persitente note maltate erbaccee speziate ginepro in bocca prima malto poi erbaceo in fine ginepro leggero luppolo j12601 (68), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA Nov 21, 2008 Draft at the beechtree. Pours a slightly hazy gold with essentially no head (may just have been the pour). Aromas were not as powerful and bold as what I was expecting from a Rogue beer, and I honestly did not detect much juniper until the finish, and even then it seemed as if I was only finding it because I was looking for it. It was nicely hopped however and had a refreshingly crisp long bitter finish to compensate for some of the emptiness I felt in the body. IrishBoy (2209), Bakersfield, California, USA Nov 19, 2008 Bomber from GM Liquors; Nose of light pine and a vegtal note; lightly hazed gold with a medium offwhite head; flavor is piney with light caramel and a ginlike note (must be the juniper berries) and bitterness; finish light bitterness.
