Nov 21, 2009 30th August 2008. ’Pale Ale, Biere Du Garde and Brown Ale hybrid’. In actuality a slightly haxy brown beer with a very delicate touch of sourness and a dry finish. Different but not outstanding.

Transparent red-copper with a fluffy beige head. Malty nose of brown sugar, raisin, cherry, and light alcohol. Creamy, nutty flavor of more fruit, brown sugar, and malt. An odd, dry bitterness in the finish, slightly off, coupled with hints of hop. This one defies classification, probably best described as a quaffable belgian strong ale. Not among RR’s best, but still quite enjoyable.

Oct 6, 2009 On tap at Fathers office. Poured a dark copper amber color with little head. Aroma of belgian yeast with a bit of spice and sweetness. Taste of maltiness, fresh spices, pears. Very smooth with good aftertaste.

Sep 29, 2009 On tap at Stone 9/14. Orange amber with thick lace. Gooey, thick, gross looking lace. In a good way, obviously. Taste is lightly yeasty and malty. Eh.

Sep 15, 2009 Batch 1, Bottle courtesy of TheBeerGod at Immy’s Backyard Throwdown. Pours cloudy brown in color with tan head. Aroma roasted malt, sweet and spicy. Taste roasted malt, caramal and spicy with bitter finish.

Aug 16, 2009 On tap at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. Golden amber with a lacing white head. Nose is both fruity and spicy. Flavor is the same, spicy, white pepper, a little Belgian Candy, sweet. Sticky finish.
