The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and butter, leading to a dry bitter finish. bierkoning (5131), La Tropica, Netherlands Jul 28, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel and licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly flavor with licorice. Buisman. Decent, but unspectacular dunkel. Quack-Duck (2202), Bodensee, Germany Jun 21, 2008 bottle, Danke nach Bochum! Amber-brown colour, medium-sized head. Flavours of cocoa powder, caramel and roasetd malt. Slightly hoppy. Well-balanced Dunkel.
