Taste was as the aroma suggested. Big smoke character with roasted malt and coffee finishing up the sip. Bacon and ash in the finish. One of the better smoked beers out there. Nice carbonation and very well done

Fat Headís Pimp My Sleigh 3.4
first aroma is a vanilla wavering toward bubblegum, sweet but a little sting on the side. Flavor is like the worldís best Hawaiian punch-- most fruity, cherry dominant. with alcohol and a resiny hop buzz I can usually tell a Belgian by aroma and taste but the sweetness hides these, so a little flat, not as dimensional as could be expected. sweet finish.

Brigadier
Fat Headís Bone Head Imperial Red Ale 3.6
12 ounce bottle
Your typical Fat Heads fare sets the bar high and then manages to slightly exceed it. Bigger bolder red ales might be available but if you want good value look no further. Just be sure to track down some fresh bottles so you get the most impact - this is not a cellaring beer.

Aroma / Appearance - The chestnut reddish body radiates warmth beneath a strong creamy white head. Oak forests in the late summer meld with red vines, dried leaves from the previous season, and bitter iced tea. The overall impression lingers like a morning dew before slowly burning off.

Flavor / Palate - The texture of chewy chocolate dipped caramel chews coats the mouth with an oaky foundation. Following on its heels, the dried tea leaves and pine resin give it a strong backwoods appeal. The silky smooth finish drops off a payload of fresh hops and red vines soaked in warm tea. Once again Matt Cole has hit it out of the park.

Brigadier
Fat Headís Hop Fro 3.8
12 ounce bottle
A well made American pale ale in the typical hop driven spirit of Fat Heads, this tastes much like many other releases they have done. The biggest difference lies in its ability to blast the senses with a reminder of the tropics without relying on a high ABV that nears imperial levels. If this was a Happy Hour special at the local bar thereíd be little hesitation.

Aroma / Appearance - A bronze semitransparent base shimmers with a soft white head that bobs up and down like white caps over a choppy sea. Polished rolls of freshly minted pennies compete with grass clippings and spruce for attention behind a smooth bitterness of a beach resort.

Flavor / Palate - Malt, caramel corn, and oaky hops resonate from start to finish with an eager palate. The English style bitterness doesnít immediately scour the tongue and throat but slowly sneaks up on you. The finish of half malted caramel chews and citrus add more depth. From beginning to end this release packs much value into a small package.

Fat Headís / New Belgium Smoldering Session 3.6
Pours clear gold with a medium white head...nice soapy lacing. Aroma has nice grapefruit and pineapple notes with the faintest hint of fresh habanero. Flavor follows suit but the fruits, particularly pineapple, are muted just a bit while the habanero flavor and heat are slightly more present yet not overdone...some rindy/earthy bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is rindy/earthy/habanero with very minimal heat.

Fat Headís Holly Jolly Christmas Ale - French Oak & Bourbon Aged 2.9
(draft @ Winking Lizard - Peninsula, OH) Copper pour with a thin tan head. Tons of fruit and spices in the aroma with lots of caramel underneath it. Flavor is way too sweet however. The barrel combined with the caramel malts and the over abundance of spices really ups the sugar factor. [1/1/16]
