Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford (not listed in RateBeer) :Pours a hazy golden yellow with a tight white head. A faint nose includes grapefruit and lemongrass. It the mouth the texture is watery with flavours of lemongrass and floral hops, plus traces of oranges and barley sugar. Finish has some citrus but is also sweetish. It’s a reasonable beer, but a bit bland really.

Cask at Pow, Farnborough. No pump clip available so had to Google and still couldn't find any details. Nil aroma. Pale gold. No head. Initial low key chemical bitterness before some cought medicine like sweetness appears. Thin bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Abrupt finish. Still not really sure what it was supposed to be. Drinkable but sketchy craft beer from an old school bitter pusher.

Cask at the Seven Stars - Bristol. Pours clear gold with a lasting, frothy white head. Simple pale bready malts in the nose, hints of grain and lemony hops. Light sweet flavour with soft bitterness, straw, lemon peel. Light bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Finishes with more pale grains, straw, hints of grass. Alright.
Earlier Rating: 4/5/2014 Total Score: 3.8
Cask at the Cleveland Arms - Bayswater, London. Pours perfectly clear, yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. Elementary aroma with notes of dry doughy pale malts and some citrus rind. Light sweet flavor with further pale and lightly doughy malts, some straw, nips of cereal and ripe lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Nicely balanced to finish with refreshing lemon character, faint tangy citrus, supporting pale bread, slight bitter hay and straw. It’s a pretty basic golden but the condition lifts this beer impressively.
