2.9 Dartmouth Summer Solstice Special 15th April 2009 Hazy dark red-brown beer. Low carbonation. Lots of malt with an undertone of chocolate. Blends nicely in to a moderately fruity (but not hoppy) mid. Finishes semi dry with a little aniseedy alcohol peeping through! Nicely joined up but overall is lacking something! 3.1 Dartmouth Summer Solstice Special Bottle 50cl. Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, roasted, caramel, dusty, paper, berry notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration.
