3.4 Sleepy Dog White Ale On tap at Bigby's Pour House in Addison, IL. dispensed to a shaker showing a clear & bright, golden hue, with a fluffy layer of white froth, and foamy dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was soft grain/wheat, light lemon, with hints of pit fruit & apple, along with subtle spice as coriander. Light to medium bodied, with decent spritz to the effervescence, the taste was similar notes, with a finish that was subtly bitter & dry. An uncomplicated, easy drinking Wit. 3.4 Sleepy Dog Peanut Butter Wet Snout Pour is a black with a large foamy tan head. Aroma is pretty good. Plenty of peanut butter and chocolate. Just like a Reese's peanut butter cup. Flavor is the same. Peanut butter cup with accompanying sweetness. It's sugary sweet but I still like it. Lots of peanut butter and milk chocolate makes for a flavorful beer. 2.6 Sleepy Dog Desert Dog Pour is a hazy copper with average white head. Aroma is a way sweet caramel malt and oily hop. Flavor is a malt heavy caramel with very little hop. Some bitterness is felt but that is minor. Kind of a malty mess and not very exciting. Sunday, July 28, 2019

3 Sleepy Dog Feisty Chihuahua 12oz can from TW. Clear gold with a foamy white head and some light lacing. Lemon, grain, honey notes. Fizzy carb and medium bodied. Relatively crisp finish with some lingering sweetness. Not bad. Friday, May 17, 2019

3.1 Sleepy Dog Feisty Chihuahua 12 oz. can poured to a shaker at Cooper's Corner in Winfield, IL. showing a clear, golden hue. Turned my head, and the light layer of white froth disappeared, along with any ring, film, or lacing. The nose was soft grain, slight toast & sweetness, with a touch of pit fruit. Light to medium bodied, the taste was similar, with lively, seltzer-like carbonation, and some earthy & grainy astringency that didn't necessarily promote a clean finish. An okay hydrator. A Mexican-style lager on the label. Would've probably entered it as a Vienna Lager. Saturday, May 11, 2019

3.4 Sleepy Dog Desert Dog 12 oz. can poured to a fest chalice at home showing a clear, golden hue, a presentable layer of off white/light cream colored froth, and patchy cling to the lacing. The nose was slightly dank, citrusy orange & grapefruit, some tropical scent, and pineapple. Light to medium bodied, the taste was similar, with mild, smoothing malt, and perky citrus, rind, and slightly resinous bitterness. An average but straight forward & sessionable Pale. 3.9 Sleepy Dog Peanut Butter Wet Snout Draft. Really big smell of sweet Dutch cocoa. A creamy eggshell colored head. The taste has plenty more of that sweet chocolate note, with a slight bitter edge on the back of the palate that may be from peanut butter. Once again, I am reminded of that long-time-ago Canfield's Diet Peanut Butter Fudge soda. They've got a lot of parts in this beer, and they almost play together well, but the chocolate wins me over to make a smooth, rich brew. Slight hint of coconut at the end. 3.3 Sleepy Dog Peanut Butter Wet Snout Lots of peanut butter on the nose along with some chocolate. Ebony color with a nice full tan head. Sweet up front. Frothy malted chocolate and sweet peanut butter mixes well. Dry earthy bitterness balanced sweetness well. Nice carbonation. Finish is malty chocolate with echoes of peanut butter. Good stout. 3.4 Sleepy Dog Desert Dog Pours a clear amber with a medium white head. The aroma consists of grassy hops, pine, caramel, and grapefruit, which isn't terribly exciting but isn't bad either. The taste is moderately bitter. It isn't all that sweet but it is noticeable. Pine seems to stand out among the flavors, though all told they are similar to the nose. I'd say the only difference is that there is now an herbal tone that comes through most at the end. Light in body and slightly sticky in texture. This one is pretty simple, but its fine. 2.9 Sleepy Dog Tail Chaser 12 oz can brewed at Two Brothers, pours a clear golden color with average white head and little lacing. Aroma is butter and bread, with weak floral hops. Taste is initially on the sweet side, with a dry finish. No bad flavors, but nothing either complicated or memorable. Body is medium with light carbonation. This didn't give me a very good first impression of this brewery. Friday, September 28, 2018
