Dwans Rich Ruby Ale
easy-drinking, fruity red ale. once again better cask than keg. caramel and crystal malt flavours nicely ballanced by hoppy finish

2.8
Dwans Paddys IPA
same as Carden’s IPA - not really an IPA, more of a strong pale ale, not enough hop for IPA

Dwans Paddy Senseless
a stronger version of Dubhain at a guess, very dark ruby black, roasted flavour, thick dark head, fruity finish

Dwans Festive Paddy
scored at brewpub, as ever too cold to truly appreciate, but another slightly sweet dwan offering, caramel offset by higher than normal (for Dwan) hop rate

Dwans Cuilan Winter Warmer
strongish amber ale, would’ve been a winter warmer except the brewpub served it so damned cold! malty, slightly sweet honey flavour

Dwans Cuilan Special Bitter
another mis-named Dwan beer - not unpleasant, but not really a bitter, more of a brown ale. Malt dominates, though slight hoppy aftertaste

Dwans Cool Amber Pilsener Lager
golden lager, nothing special, served too cold in the brewpub to detect any real flavour, but on cask has a bit more hop flavour and aroma

Dwans Cardens IPA
strong enough, but to me not hoppy enough, to be called an IPA. a pleasant enough beer, but tending towards malty.

Dwans Cardens Vienna Lager
didn’t taste much like anything I’ve had in vienna, but still a drinkable beer from what was at the time Ireland’s best brewery. Sweet flavour with slight hoppy aftertaste. better on cask than keg (what isn’t!) but never tried on cask in the brewpub

Dwans Rich Ruby Ale
Aroma is fresh and fruity, some floural hops. Taste is carmel fruity malts with a decent amount of bitterness, not a bad wee ale.

Dwans Festive Paddy
Cask Conditioned at The Plough, Bodicote, Oxon. Reddy brown with no head. Thick malty beer, sweet and sharp at the same time, medium roast, there is a caramel background. Satisfying hop towards the end but a bit of a mish mash of flavours.

Dwans Cuilan Winter Warmer
Draught, at McCarthy’s, Kenmare, Ireland.</br> Honey amber coloured body with a big, Guinness-like head. Slowly settling this was the closest I came in Ireland to a real ale. Hints of malt and real ale sweetness. Alcohol note noticeable. Was consumed right next to an open fire on a very could night in green, green, Ireland. I can recommend this pub, the service and food was first class.

Dwans Rich Ruby Ale
Keg
Nice amber color; creamy head. Strange acid aroma. The taste is very strange for an Irish brew, being a bit sour, but it's pleasant and refreshing (a mix of British Ale and Flemish Sour Ale). It turns to be more like a Winter Warmer.
