theprof	2.8 Eichbaum Apostel Weissbier Hell Can from Prix supermarket in Mestre Venezia as part of my supermarket sweep. Pours hazy golden body full foam top. Aroma of bread malt and banana yeast. Medium sweet to lightly bitter, a little banana and a spice finish. Light to medium bodied, smooth texture, full carbonation, and a dusty spice finish. I appear to be the first UK based reviewer to have rated this well travelled beer and I can see why it underwhelms so many. Couleur marron plutôt que rouge, robe transparente bien que difficile à déterminer car le foncé de la couleur n'aide pas. Carbonatation non visible à l'oeil. Nez agréable sur le fruit rouge plutôt acide. En bouche, une bière sucrée et un peu beurrée, plus sur la grenade bien mûre que la groseille, on sent aussi le malt torréfié. Aucune amertume. Pas d'acidité. Carbo se résumant à un peu de piquant sur la langue, accompagné d'une certaine astringence. Pourrait peut être plaire à des amateurs de Desperados mais pas à des zythologues. NEIPAs have ruined this appearance for me, which is another reason to hate them. Really wheaty aroma, sweet and fruity esters, just a sniff of tinned tomato, and a lot of fruity and floral hopping. Smooth palate, a classic weizen feel, pleasant carbonation. Estery wheaty and gently floral hoppy taste. Well balanced. Clean. This is pretty good for a macro. Possible underrate?
