Meikyoshisui Junmai Daiginjo Tobingakoi Sake
Bottle - Light yeast and a touch of booze. Touch of alcohol and mushroom with a nutty and dry finish.

Meikyo Shisui Tokobetsu Junmai
Pale and clear. Has a touch of phenol (paint thinner) on the nose, a touch of alcohol, some florals but ends up a good, moderately complex sake.

Meikyoshisui Seki Junmai Ginjo Sake
Glass @ Donjaga, Shinjuku: Served a clear glass flowing into a masu cup. Pours crystal clear with thick legs. The nose is subtle with some koji and minerally rice; a bit of licorice and some pungent alcohol. The impact is a little strong for me, moderately dry with alcohol and a lack of umami or specific fruity flavors. The tail is dry and lingering with a bit of chalk. A little flat for my liking but it doesn’t have anything too detrimental.
