nathanvc	3.6 Jopen Meesterstuk 2022 Bottle from Daily Delis, Amsterdam. Hazy black, small, tan head. Aroma of speculoos, cinnamon, clov,e milk chocolate, mocha, marzipan, liqueur. Taste has sweet chocolate & speculoos surrounded by spicy cinnamon & gingerbread against a toasty malt backbone. Peppery hops in the finish, lots of spices lingering, a hint of coffee and warming liqueur-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. colui72	4.3 Jopen Meesterstuk 2023 Oloroso BA Imperial stout with blueberry and almonds aged in Oloroso barrels. On the nose: almonds, wood, sherry and roasted grain. Pours thick black, beige head, medium size and high retention, with sheets of laces on the glass. Moderate sweetness balanced by a sudden dry-bitterness from hops, with roasted grain and wood. Blueberry and almonds float in sherry, which brings up a lot of dryness. Full body, velvety, low carbonation, alcohol as it should be. Interesting how it starts with some malty sweetness and blueberry to dive into a deep dryness. Strong barrel character. Very nice. Monday, April 15, 2024

ReuvenSmienk	3.4 Jopen Hoppenbier Mistig geelkleurig bier met een 3-vingerdikke witte schuimkraag van gemiddelde structuur. Ik ruik direct de hop bij het inschenken. Ook in de smaak die de brouwer als ‘pleasantly soft’ omschrijft is de hop duidelijk waarneembaar. Als dit bier in de middeleeuwen populair was in België, dan is het bier er sindsdien veel zoeter geworden. Fijne afdronk met evenwichtige body. Friday, March 29, 2024
