Smager rigtig meget af hjemmebryg. Smagen af gær, og meget malt, og sødlig. Det var vist så ringe at ha’ været viking

It has nice strong foam crown, dainty dark reddish brown color. The aroma is pronounced malt with a slightly burned tone and hint of nuts. The taste is roasted and caramelized malt included in flavor with just a little hop bitterness to follow. Nut in the aftertaste.

It has lovely fruity aroma, unique flavor of a little caramel, cranberries and nice sweetened with honey before subdued hop bitterness follow through. A wheat beer that still retains its foothold and puts his wheat beer imprint on the elegant shape.

Bottle from Khioshk. Drank straight from the bottle so appearance set to 3. Please see other reviews for actual colour and head. The bottle sprayed a lot when opened. Aroma was malty and sweet, as was the taste but with some dark fruit notes and honey sweetness. Alcohol shines through a lot, which is a drawback but hey - if this is as accurate as a viking age beer can be - I’d be happy to live back then. Quite a lot of carbonation. Leaning towards medium bodied.

Bottle from Kihoskh. A gusher if I ever saw one, while opening the bottle the beer sprayed all over the place, leaving us with less than 0,2l left in the 0,5l bottle. Luckily we were outside, objects several meters away were covered with beer. Color is dark amber, offwhite head. Malty aroma with smoke notes, taste of caramel and roast, low bitterness. Bitter and grassy finish.

Dark red-brown colored with little light brown head. Sweet, bit yeasty, little bit of sour aroma with thin dark fruity tone. Medium bodied. Flavor has some licorice with still yeast dominating, weird grassy-flowery hops here as well. I think something extra added here, additional what is mentioned in label. Aftertaste still lasts with this interesting added flowery note.

0.5L bottle, purchased @Kihoskh, København. A dirty blond dense head, over a shady, brownish-red body. Grainy, fresh sourish malt aroma. Taste is medium sweet, more sugar-sweet than malty. Grainy flavor. Some bittering hops, almost enough for balancing. Watery to oily texture. Light in body. Drinks ok, but lacks the complexity.

Bottle, picked up@Kihoskh, København. A finger of beige foam, over a clear, brownish red body. Spicy nose. Hard to pin-point, Christmas spices maybe, and flowers. Also a note of lingonberry marmelade. Light sweet flavor. Red berries mostly, restrained maltiness. Also a quite unusual taste of mixed bag herbs and spices. Medium full. Oily texture. Sweet and tart berries in the end. Did really the vikings drink beers like this? Nah... Anyway, an interesting and well-crafted brew.
