2.4 Hopyard Hefeweizen Tap, with a damn orange slice deep in the glass, without even asking. Pours pretty hazy, almost cloudy golden, small off white head, creamy with good lacing. Minus a tenth for involuntary oranges. Aroma is light, no real hef attributes. Hints of wheat, light citrus that may well come from the slice. Unbelievably bland. Flavor is light sweet, minimal bitterness. Inoffensive, but really nothing going on at all Saturday, October 29, 2016

3 Hopyard Hefeweizen On tap @ Hopyard Pleasanton. Hazy straw pour with a white head. Typical lemon and orange peel aromas. Wheat, bread, and some yeast. Flavor is a bit watery and tart. Lemon peel, a touch of orange, and some wheat bread sweetness. Wednesday, December 25, 2013

2.6 Hopyard Hefeweizen Draft. An unclear golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and lemon as well as lighter notes of wheat. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and wheat as well as lighter notes of bread and lemon, leading to a dry wheaty finish. Wednesday, January 12, 2011

2.8 Hopyard Hefeweizen well, it looked like a hefe... after that, the resemblance ends. it was a benign beer that lacked the crisp qualities of a hefe or any of the banana/clove features. Wednesday, July 14, 2010

2.8 Hopyard Hefeweizen On tap at the Hopyard. Typical wheat beer, this is not a real hefe. Little to nothing in the aroma with a wheaty, bready flavor. In this case, I committed a cardinal sin and actually used the lemon slice that came on the glass. Refreshing and not a bad beer, just boring. Sunday, December 6, 2009

2.5 Hopyard Hefeweizen On tap. Pours an opaque orangey golden with an off-white head. Discreet fruit notes in the aroma, but neither banana, citrus or yeast. Medium body, lightly sweet fruit and a whiff of yeast. The finish is dry with no bitterness. Drinkable but completely bland and nowhere near a Hefe. 250709 Thursday, November 26, 2009
