Forholdsvis lesbare notater fra årets GBBF. Fra cask og servert av en sjarmerende bartender i kilt, naturligvis: klar gylden med fint skum som varer. Svært lite aroma (kjenner mest kjeks), men lett og frisk smak av citrus, urter og skog. Slank og med kort ettersmak.

1/2 pint gravity dispensed, sampled at the Kinloch Hotel beer festival in Blackwaterfoot, Arran on the 27th August 2022. Pours opaque straw with a thin white head. Hoppy aroma with citrus zest. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Slight pale malt biscuit backbone. Zesty citrus notes of lemon and lime pith along with honeydew melon flavours present in the mouth.

1/2 pint sampled on the 27th August 2022 at the Kinloch Beer Festival, Blackwaterfoot on Arran. Gravity dispense. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Pine resin on the short hoppy aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and poor lacing. Hint of biscuit malt which fades to astringent grapefruit pith, along with kiwi & gooseberry notes in the aftertaste. Finish is hoppy with dry grapefruit pith building in the mouth. Decent session APA.

Cask, handpump dispense at the Twa Dugs, West KIlbride (1st beer festival) and a 1/2 pint sampled on the 29th July 2022. Pours a clear straw colour with a thin white head. Hoppy aroma with a subtle hint of sulphur coming through. Thin resiny mouthfeel and poor lacing. Hint of pale malt gives a light digestive biscuit backbone to this but this malt sweetness fades fast. Floral bitter aftertaste with hop notes of lime, mango, papaya & kiwi juicy and slightly tart in the mouth. Finish is also hoppy with juicy mango & kiwi fruit still evident on the palate. Decent session Pale Ale.

Thin resiny mouthfeel and poor lacing. Pale malt gives a light digestive biscuit base, hoppy aftertaste gives light pink grapefruit, bitter orange notes. Hoppy finish with dry astringency building with orange peel pith, marmalade, pine resin & pink grapefruit present on the palate. Decent APA with the high ABV noted in the warming presence in the throat.
