Hrabren	4 Stillwater / Freigeist Hybrid Sequence 0.009 0.75 l bottle shared with DogFishHead, JFK and Ogi. Unclear reddish golden, small head. Oily texture. Aroma is coconut at first, vinegar after, light glue, after awhile tosted nuts, almonds, white grapes along with funky yeasty notes. Hints of oak. Oily, soft, sour, smooth, slick and soft. Taste is dominant with wildflower honey upfront & a tart lemon twang middle turning acidic & full sour on the finish. Frothy, medium bodied, strong carbonation. A significant amount of honey in this. MicroGrog	3.8 Stillwater Searching For... 08/24/19 Sangoivese grapes sold me. I mean, it’s probably going to be a cool Southampton era saison or something. I didn’t read the stout part till I got home. Short 10oz pint glass. Matte black with a light brown, filmy head. I want to smell grapes, but can only envision them. Smell mellow roast, brown sugar & a little smoke. Maybe a little pith in there. Taste is velvety, bitter charred malt. Lingering & oily, like good coffee dying for a splash of milk to help open it up. There’s this so faint dark cherry note, but that’s the only fruit I really get. Too bitter for me, but a good stout. Smells like malted milk balls, pepper, & a splash of booze. Mellow, unburnt, but very well toasted malt. Licorice, aged hop bitterness, dirt. Cola. Thin, sudsy, drys out on the finish. jgb9348	3.7 Stillwater / Omnipollo Bourgeois Brunch Super hazy golden and straw coloured body with almost no head at all even after a vigorous pour. Aroma of sour grapes, tangerines, fructose, cream and honey with a lot of funky bretty and even some spontaneous fermentation notes here, with a light dose of oak in the nose, too. Light to barely Medium-bodied; Crisp, slightly grassy and very citrusey flavours show at first with a lot of tangerine and soured fruit qualities - some of them tropical, with a good kick of malt and very easy-going wheat at the end. Aftertaste is pretty straight-forward with the tart fruit, even with a light touch of guava and passionfruit here, working well with the wheat malt to make this go down very easily. Overall, this is a crisp and clean beer that has some very nice tropical fruit and soured components, but also some sugars and a touch of dryness. Great to sample and a good option that is balanced across the board, with a nice profile and some good complex flavours. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Glen Ro Spirit Shoppe in Monroe, Connecticut on 05-September-2022 for US$4,49, canned on 04-August-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 16-November-2022. 944play	3.6 Stillwater Extra Loud Draft at Treebeerd's downtown Portland. Pale bright beer, looking for all the world like an international lager. Vaguely fruity aroma, like kiwis and mango skin, and some faint cardamom or similar warm spice. Rather sweet, but it works here in balance to some pithy acids. Dried zest, pith and tropical fruit aromas dominate the nose with some barnyard horseblanket and wet hay as it warms. Crisp and clean but also a juicy profile on the palate. Dark chocolate, truffle salt and molasses on the nose. Super thick and viscous on the palate. More burnt caramel, toasted caramel and dark chocolate. Decadent, but not overly sweet.
