Valaisanne Speciale 2.9
Getreidig herber Antrunk. Heller milder Hopfen, trocken werdend. Steigend getreidig, dann abflachend. Unauffällig. 9/9/8/8/7/8

Valaisanne Pale Ale 2.9
Bottle from Co-op, Geneva. Looks like a pale ale, amber caramel colour, bright, thick white foam. Fairly generic light hop aroma. Actually, fairly generic pale ale flavours. At the sweeter and less hoppy end, some toffee malt, a rather muddled earthy hop which for me could have taken a braver hand with the bitterness. Kind of average.

Valaisanne Pale Ale 2.5
Bottle. Dirty, slightly malty aroma. Unrefined bitterness that goes all over the place, matching the unrefined aroma that has hints that come and go at will. Freshly carbonated, but that’s about the only good thing to say about this beer. Drinkable.

Amber color with a nice head. Hoppy aroma... Plants, green... Taste is well balanced between bitterness and sweetness, very good! Great swiss pale ale

Bottle 33cl, a cloudy amber beer with low head. Nose is on grain with blond caramel notes. Aroma is low on caramel, watery body, grain notes, light honey touch, bit nutty, thin, a kind of summer ale, peppery hops at the finish.

Bottle 33cl, a cloudy copper beer with low head. Nose is lemony, pineapple like with orange touch. Aroma is sour like, orange an lemon notes, yeast touch, phenols, medium sweet, far from a real heifeweizen.

Valaisanne Lager Hell 2.8
It is a classical lager. The foam is thin and the carbonation is average, yellow lager colour. We can smell the malt and some industrial hop. It is a nice drink when you make a "biss" in the Valais after a hard day of sport.

Copper color with foam ring. Full, sweet, round and hoppy nose. The taste is a bit flat, has a not so round sweetness and is somewhat disappointing. Sweetish aftertaste.

330ml bottle from Drinks of the World, Basel (3.90 CHF):
Not a bad one despite the brewery, it’s an interesting, fruity take on the hefeweizen style with nice apricot & citrus plus some apricot before the usual wheat beer flavours come through There’s a nice balance, it’s lively & although it’s not one I’d rush back to, it was enjoyable & I’m glad I picked it up in the end.

Primär malziger Antrunk, dem eine milde Hopfigkeit folgt. Milde trockene Herbe, der Hopfen ist zu mild. Süffig, etwas langweilig. 10/8/9/7/9/7

After lots of European beers nice to have a quote craft beer. A bit of hop aroma. Not much. But does have a nice Carmel flavor with light hop. I just miss American beer I think. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden color, clear, white head of which a thin layer remains on top - Aroma is a bit malty, grainy, some rather earthy hops and slight hints of honey and a hardly definable herb - Taste is slightly sweet at the first sip, evolving into a medium bitterness during the middle part towards the finish - Thin body, rather thin and crisp mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

330ml bottle served in an ordinary glass. Pours a dark orange almost amber color. Slightly cloudy. Forms a big and soapy off white head with medium retention and lots of lingering molasses left in the glass. Nose is fruity and sweet. Strong notes of tangerine and caramel malts. Slightly sweet and malty upfront. Again, notes of tangerine and caramel malts. Hints of apples and sweet biscuits. Dry and medium hops bitterness. American S05 yeasts profile. Low bitterness persistence. Light body. Average carbonation. Caramel and citrus notes in the aftertaste. Good drinkability. Not bad.

bottle from Café Rendez-Vous in Fribourg - clear and bright amber beer with a fast vanishing foam; aroma of toffee, corns, chewy malts and metal; solidly carbonated, medium-bodied, very harsh and aggressive bitterness; quite dry aftertaste of corns, wort and metal - hard to make worse, from the name to the taste, including the deScription: everything’s wrong with this beer. Frankly, I’m almost feeling sad for the poor Feldschlösschen/Carlsberg brewery which is definitely doing all wrong ...
