Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA 3.4
Can poured yellow with a white head aroma had the hop tropical funk from either citra or Equinox with also nice floral notes. Taste was a lot of earthy floral notes finishing piney resin dry finish.

Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA 3.8
Fresh can, 1 week old. Pours a clear gold, medium head. Aroma is pine sap, floral / spice, piss, caramel, pithy citrus, grass. Flavor has a bunch of dry citra, some floral spice / bite. Light end of medium body, but very bitter w/ a lively dry hopped kick. Quite enjoyable.

Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA 3.8
Can thanks to bigda83! Pours a hazy golden orange with thin off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of resinous piney hops and mild caramel malt. Taste follows, clean and easy for an IPA, a hint of oxidation. Solid stuff.

Wormtown Birthday Brew #5 3.9
Sampled at brewery. This was included in a sampler flight and I did not realize at the time how strong it was only that I liked it. Looking back I now understand why I had to almost crawl out of that place. Good stuff.

Wormtown Spies Like Us 3.8
Draught at Lord Hobo, 3/22/16.
As the premier Imperial Stout critic on this site, I was pretty hard on this one and lo and behold....
Dark ebony body, undetermined clarity. Large tan head atop fades to ring.
Dry roast, bitter chocolate, ash and very light vinousness in the nose are all great things. No booze and not a hop influenced Imperial...Awesome. Iím in. Breathing lends treacle, tar, some base malts emerging to add caramel and milk chocolate, lightly.
In the flavor itís equally dry and shows tons of dark chocolate. Light fruitiness and plentiful ash keep things very dry, but no hop bitterness ever comes to unbalance it, thankfully. The base malt is enough to balance the bitter roast (though it still tends dry and bitter). Tight carbonation and a fairly malty, somewhat bready texture. No alcohol in flavor either. Very pleasantly surprised here.

Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA 3.7
Draught at Lord Hobo on 3/22/16 and at Castle and Elephant again on 3/24/16.
Besides the fact that you should never go to Elephant and Castle, being a horrible, horrible bar, this pours a gently hazy, lime-tinted gold, with a medium-sized white head showing moderate retention.
The nose is quite lovely, actually, being very reserved and lightly fruity. Citrus zest, light pineapple and some floral characteristics are intertwined by biscuity/crackery malts with fresh yeast and light minerality.
In the flavor, itís very juicy, with lots of white grapefruit, meyer lemon and soft floral notes. Good attenuation and ample carbonation which is mostly engaging. Great stuff. Dry, very juicy yet still seems light and elegant for an IPA. No heavy bitterness (quite low overall). Very solid offering which put them on the map for good reason.

Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA 4.2
Got in a BIF from tasterschoice62. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/7/2016. Pours lightly hazy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light honey, cracker, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light honey, cracker, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, cracker, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of bright/dank bright/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, sticky/resinous, and lightly grainy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding IPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of bright/dank citrus/tropical/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA 3.6
Bottle to shaker. Nose has the expected hop with some dank whiff in there. Golden and surprisingly clear for an unfiltered IPA. Leggy white head. Palate is typical clean IPA. Could have a touch more punch, but decent beer.

Wormtown Buddhaís Juice 3.6
Pours clear deep gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing to coat surface. Dark caramel and citrus aromas. Lemongrass and hot toffee front to back. Lasting sweet dank resin finish. Old school dipa.

Wormtown Blizzard of í78 1.5
Pours a dark brown from a bottle, thin khaki head, minimal lacing. Aroma is overwhelmingly coffee, vanilla. Flavor is an amazingly sweet coffee/cola, itís basically soda. The carbonation is similarly soda-like. Very weird and not good. Strike 2 Wormtown.

Wormtown Blizzard of í78 3.4
Bottle. Iím not enamored with this particular style, thus the usual dilemma about rating the style rather than the brew in hand. Aroma of coffee and dark malt, color a medium dark brown, body light, flavor pretty coffee heavy. This is a pleasant, drinkable coffee porter, but nothing exceptional.

Wormtown SNAFU Rye Wine 2.5
Draught at the brewery, 1/30/16.
Deep magenta-ruby colored beer has a strong mahogany tint to it with moderately-high clarity and a beige head that is well-retained.
Sweet and boozey nose shows rye-like fruitiness, vanilla, caramel and toffee malts and a fair amount of fruitiness from the yeast. Low on the hops with some light citrus and herbal qualities.
Again, like the rauch bock, just too sweet to be able to enjoy it. The malt flavors are definitely there; red fruits, bread and caramel, spicy rye...but itís heavily sweet and chewy and quite fatiguing. Some dryness breaks on the finish, lightly earthy and crusty bread, but itís nowhere near enough. Alcohol is apparent, though not rampant, while no flaws are noted.

ClarkVV
Wormtown Rauch Bock 2.5
Draught at the brewery, 1/30/16.
Deep auburn-crimson body has a tan element to it, good clarity and a beige head atop with moderate retention.
Smoke in the nose is somewhat salty, lightly ashy and quite fruity, though thatís certainly a combination with the strong maltiness present. Tons of vinous notes with toffee, vanilla and buttercream. A bit of more dry ash/char-like character on the end, but mostly quite powerfully malty and richly smokey.
Heavily sweet in the flavor, with a huge burst of caramel-toffee, heavy melanoidins and toasted malt notes. By the time you feel the smoke, itís just too much, adding strong, salty flavors, rich campfire and light bacon. Alcohol, more toasted malt and a light ash are the only things attempting to balance and they fail miserably at doing so. Way, way, way too sweet. Nothing wrong with a malty doppelbock, but this doesnít have the requisite acidity on the finish to balance. Creamy, near-syrupy texture with medium carbonation.

Wormtown Pale for ALS 3.4
Draught at the brewery, 1/30/16, listed as "Ales for ALS" but the abv is the same so I assume itís the same or similar enough.
Medium copper-golden body has a small but fairly well-retained white head atop. High clarity.
Some stone fruits, light citrus and a touch of pine in the nose signify a pretty straightforward blend of New Zealand and American varietals. Malts provide light honey and biscuit and seem well-attenuated from the nose with no alcohol or flaw.
Great texture, with tight carbonation, a moderately malty mouthfeel and good attenuation. Lush fruits and floral notes combine with lemon and orange while thereís a touch more of a pine bitterness on the finish. Sessionable, but still quite interesting and quite hoppy. No flaws or alcohol noted.

Wormtown Berliner Weiss 2.6
Draught at the brewery, 1/30/16.
Mostly clear, pale white grape juice with a fleeting white head.
Definitely lactic acid but at the same time, lots of cider and vegetal qualities. Very sparse malt behind it consists of crackers, primarily. No alcohol.
Lactic acid, dry cider vinegar and light vegetal notes parallel the nose, with a bit of saltiness, moderate carbonation and zero maltiness nor even much wheat character. No major problems but just so very minimal on any characteristics other than kettle souring and cider.

Wormtown Buddhaís Juice 4
12oz bottle into glass. Bottled 1 26 16, nice. Pours a deep orange Amber with rustic tones. Nice creamy head, light lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, grapefruit peel, orange juice, grass, citrus all over. Taste of grapefruit everywhere, melon, hops, more grass, weed, bready granola, pine, Amber malt tones. This is great. Abv melds nicely, a tart bitterness in the end. Smooth all the way.

Wormtown Buddhaís Juice 4.5
On tap at the brewery. Nice orange color with a quite unique fruity aroma provided by the unusual fruit rind added to the mix. Light, easy drinking, apricot and tangerine flavors, hoppy but not bitter. I was unaware of the ABV when I was drinking it and was quite surprised to find out how strong this one actually is. Definitely a brew in a class by itself. Excellent.

Wormtown Blizzard of í78 3.9
Bottle. Poured a rich dark brown with a nice sudsy khaki head. Aroma of coffee fills the nose with sweet malts and chocolate. Flavor had tons of coffee, caramel, vanilla, and chocolate. Really nicely done here. Full body with a thinner texture, soft carbonation, and a slightly bitter finish.

Wormtown Bottle Rocket Pale Ale 3.3
Bottle. Poured a pale yellow, mainly clear, and a sudsy white head. Aromas of some citrus, grass, and floral. Flavor followed the nose with a kind of soapy lemon taste, grassy, and flowery. Decent, but nowhere near Be Hoppy level for me. Light body, thin texture, lively carbonation, and smooth easy finish.

Wormtown Bottle Rocket Pale Ale 3.6
Sweet citrus and pine aroma. Hazy golden amber body with a one finger thick head. Straight forward bitterness. Light citrus sweetness in the background. Has a resin like quality too. Closer to an IPA than an APA in my opinion. A decent brew nonetheless.

Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA 3.8
Fruity orange/citrus aroma with some pine resin and caramel. Very, very bitter flavor, with tangerine and pine. A little caramel/apple sweetness in the finish. Pretty good, but the bitterness was a little over the top by my standards (and I love bitter IPAs). Iíd recommend this highly to an IPA lover but avoid otherwise.

Aroma of tart fruit, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of funky yeast, fruit and smoked malt. The finish is moderately sour with a cherry aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Wormtown Pumpkin 3.1
Keg pour at NH Brewfest. (This was labeled as "Fresh Patch Pumpkin" but same ABV so Iím going to assume it is the same as previous ratings, though considerably older.) Appearance is golden yellow-orange with mild head and mild lacing. Aroma is cinnamon, allspice dominant, as one might expect. Taste is spices, as nose, but pleasantly restrained--nice for pumpkin beers. Palate is medium bodied with average carbonation. Overall, nothing too surprising or distinctive here but, if youíre looking for a tasty pumpkin beer that wonít whack you over the head, this would be a decent choice.

Wormtown Be Hoppy IPA 3
Keg pour at NH Brewfest. Appearance is nice yellow pour with mild sparkle, trace head with minimal lacing. Aroma is pine and resin hops. Taste is dominant moderate to heavy pine/resin bitterness. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and very bitter finish. Overall, didnít get the citrus/floral/grapefruit but otherwise as described: "decidedly bitter palate." Bitter hop heads will really like this but not my cup of tea.
