bilcho1	2.7 Schloss Gebsattel Met - Honigwein From a one-litre bottle courtesy of Geri and Stefano. Pours clear pale greenish yellow, like an oaked Chardonnay. Aroma of soft generic white wine. In the mouth, almost no carbonation, sourness or bitterness. Sweet from the first sip through the finish, mellow white wine flavours with honey in the background, a long sweet finish. minutemat	3 Schloss Gebsattel Fruchtglühwein hell Sample thanks to Kolshtrinker. Cracked open after an afternoon walking around the grounds of Gregynog Hall, Tregynon, Powys. Pours clear gold, vibrant fruity nose conjuring up all kinds of pale berries, honey, apple and cinnamon. Oily palate, cinnamon and cola bottle sweets seem to rule the overall character here with additional apple, underlying gooseberry and spiced cider notes. The cola notes are a bit off-putting, but it's generally ok. Tuesday, April 2, 2019

danlo	2.6 Schloss Gebsattel Fruchtglühwein hell Sample from Koelschtrinker, many thanks Roman! Golden colour, no head and aroma of spice, cinnamon, aniseed, gum. At cellar/room temperature the taste is sweet, spice, chewing gum, cinnamon, cola-ish. Warmed-up it converges into a more uniform spiced cinnamon mulled earthy apple flavour. Medium bodied, low carbonation, mulled spice warming finish. At cellar/room temperature the flavours are abit unconnected, but becomes OK when served hot/warm and have rated on that basis. Taste is fairly light bodied, presenting a gentle acidity alongside sweet apple fruit. Perhaps a little watery, fruit presence seems a little diluted. Die Quitte kommt recht nett durch mit ein wenig Banane und mehr als reifem Apfel im Hintergrund. Nice tart and even a bit dry aftertaste, fresh and fruity, easy to drink for the 12.5%. On the tongue remains a fruity sweet and tart quince flavour. Very nice one, but a bit too sweet. Not too sour with a nice fruity and slightly tart aftertaste. Some tannins there, lots of fresh and fruity apple. No carbonation. The aftertaste is fruity and dry but still highly drinkable. Nice!
