Full Pint Grapefruit Chinookie 1.7
OK, so we got all kinds of nookie and this is grapefruit chinookie. Darker tap like iced tea. Doughy aroma. First taste is odd, a mix of flavors. Some lethat some ipa and other fleeting memories abound. I thot this would be IPA - ish but its much more unique than a good IPA with grapefruit added for effects. Exceptionally bitter after a while. Rude nasty astringent IPA effec ts so I guess its terribly on style for a green grapefuit chewintg on green grapefruit rinds kindah thang. Nasty on style imperial IPA finish. Go fish.

The aroma was tart, semi sweet and had notes of grapefruit and citrus. The flavor was tart and bitter with floral, citric and herbal hops but no definite grapefruit. Undertones of earthy tobacco. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.

Full Pint Nerdís Reserve GUS IPA 1.4
I was told this is the same as gus IPA? From a bottle with a somewhat viscous pour. Darker hefe looking beer. Big dull somewhat volatile hop aroma. Strong kick in the jaw alky blast on the uptake. Chewing on alky laced green grapefruit pine tar happy BS. What else can be said except that its dead on nasty style. Wonít be able to taste anything else for a while. And, I had to drive out of town to get this? If you like knock you in the head, smack you in the face, punch you in the teeth triple ipa, try this.

Full Pint Night of the Living Stout 3.6
12 oz. bottle. Pours a black color with a thick dark tan head that lasts. Nice citrus hop aroma unexpected for a stout and some roastedness in the background. Medium-full bodied, interesting for a stout with such a hop flavor. Lots of carbonation on the tongue. Some roasted malt and chocolate come through as it warms. Finish is smooth. Pretty good.

North Star 2.3
Tap @ North Star. Smells like a plain old friendly pale ale. Comes across rather flat, almost cask like in the presentation. Taste starts off somewhat bitter then evolves into a malty thang. Never gets in yer face, just a good pgh red neck ale, fer sure. That bitter effect continues to rise thru the session. Becomes even more malty. In the end we have a civilized medium malty body typical amber ale.

Full Pint Festivus 3.3
Bottle. Nose spice and herbal, subtle chocolate and roast, light woodsy hopping. Pours deep bloody red, dark in the glass and easily confused with a lighter chestnut; head is dense but short, tan. Taste herbal, slight cola, spruce, wppd, paper, mint, faint vanilla, nutmeg. Feel mellow, slightly flat, somewhat crisp but in a fizzy way; strongly nutty, thin body but medium malt development. Has some brown ale muddle, touch of earth, very very restrained fruitiness. Fits the blustery season nicely, and I enjoyed it (but donít bother offering it in the height of summer). [2015.12.09: 3.3]

Full Pint Serendipitous Design 3.5
Very rare and very civilized! A brownish pale color. Has a tart feel about it on the olfactory. Mild and easy to take from the start. Probably the best beer I had today. Not bad. Better than expected, good job FP. Yes, tartness or wild feel to this one but its not over the top, just friendly and easy. I was thinken this was a famous west coast beer but here it is, right here in W. PA! Jest enough alky to let you know its not beer and it is so nice!. Well balanced, nice job! Very easy and acceptable, I liked the attitude of this one.

Full Pint Night of the Living Stout 3.6
Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 12/2/15

Aroma: The nose is citrus hops and some roasted malt, a bit of dark chocolate comes through too
Appearance: Pours a basically black color with a thick, foamy brown head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: Tastes dark, bitter, roast mostly, fairly malty, not a ton of sweetness or citrus in the flavor
Palate: Light-medium bodied, fairly smooth and clean, soft carbonation, and a good bit dry
Overall Impression: Pretty good, interesting beer. Has a nice citrus hop presence in the aroma, almost smells like a Black IPA, but then in the flavor I lose that hop presence and I just get a dry, roasty dark ale. Solid beer overall, but the aroma is the most interesting part for me.

Full Pint Festivus 3.5
Poured in pint a red tinged brown with white head. Aroma was malt heavy with some holiday spice noted but not close to being the main aroma. Taste was lightly toasted malts, toffee, caramel and cinnamon spice with vanilla. I liked this one because it was not overbearing.

Full Pint Spruce 3.3
Luminous orange body with vigorously carbonated body with bubbles moving like swarms of violently buzzing bees--all topped by an airy, rock cream colored head. Soothingly gentle aroma of spruce sap. The body is of sweet malt, wintergreen, molasses, and spruce across a mild-mannered malt and hop base. Minty spruce finish, with an occasional cord of bitterness.

Full Pint Night of the Living Stout 3.9
DATE TASTED: November 1, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Brew at the Zoo pint... OCCASION: Having survived the Halloween tiki bar of terror, no relaxing with a gift six from Mary and Rich... APPEARANCE: motor oil black body that halves the glass; the other half is a cratering, thick, dense brown head that resists gravity and time well; a nice, appropriately disturbing label... AROMA: an instant battle--Cascade hops and a fruity, resin clashes with the muddied, roasted malt that suggest caramel as well--together, a pleasant aroma that awakens... PALATE: full-bodied, lengthening aftertaste; equally oily and creamy, with the massive head articulating between the two textures... TASTE: the immediate sensation of citrus and pine is sedated by the toasted oats and some phenolic aspects--the alcohol is not apparent until the sipís end... OVERALL: a strong, robust stout that fulfills its aromatic promise; the 7% ABV is barely apparent... as hoppy as a stout as I have experienced, and yet possesses that peaty, burnt quality that makes the genre a perfect Autumn friend...

Full Pint Tri-PA 3.4
Hazy light amber and deep copper coloured body with a single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of honey, resin, alcohol, pine, sap, apricots and sugary alcohol. Full-bodied; Assertive apricot and honey flavour with a lot of resin and pine right behind with some malt, caramel, toffee and much more alcohol burn near the end. Aftertaste shows some heavy body, syrupy apricot sweetness and a lot of hop bitterness with very little else. Overall, a very high alcohol and apricot sweet heavy beer with a big body and little room for anything else. That said, it isnít the worst beer, but just an Imperial IPA with a relatively narrow focus and heavy body/alcohol content. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tampa, Florida on 03-January-2014 for US$3,99, sampled on 30-October-2015. This bottle states an ABV of íonlyí 10%. Bottle Best By: 31-Dec-2013 (Lot 348) // Purchased: 03-January-2014 // Sampled: 31-October-2015

Full Pint Hobnobber 2.6
Pours a clear amber with a fair white head which lingers.......aroma of pine, citrus.....now Iím not sure why this style exists at all and this one has that lack of backbone all others do....taste is watery, citrus, orange rind kind of bitterness tailing off into wood pulp. I did not realize this was in the variety case, it would have been a deal breaker. I should read the fine print next time.
