Birds & Bees Roll In The Hay
Bottle from Sherbrooke Edm bought in June 2012 for $24 CAD, cellared for 10 years. Attack: crisp soft sour acidic Mids: tangy dull light salty pineapple, muddled oxidized woodiness, lvl1-sweetness Finish: musky melon medium gag reflex Overall: perhaps left for too long, dull flavours and jagged acidity make this one rough on the palate.

Bottle I have had for a number of months but afraid to drink seeing Duffman’s rating. Almost clear with a green tint. Light medicinal scent with a bit of woody apple note. Flavour is apple with fusal notes a rough woody dark bark and honey flavour.

I’m surprised to find this on the website! Parksy’s wife found this at the Medicine Hat Farmer’s Market, of all places. Extremely pale yellow, almost uncoloured. Aroma is sweet and FULL of sulphites. Yech! Flavour is the same: non-descript sweetness overwhelmed by sulphites. This reminded me of when my father made homemade kiwi-fruit wine when I was a kid. I’m sure it will find its fans, but this didn’t win anyone over in my kitchen. The whole bottle got dumped into the sink.
