Goldbarren	3.2 U Dvou Koček Polotmavá Kočka 12° Das "U Dvou koček", also "Zu den zwei Katzen" ist ein recht uriges Brauereirestaurant in der Prager Altstadt und eine demenstprechende...nicht Mausefalle...sondern Touristenfalle. Das Bier ist klassische böhmische Brautradition und ein Halbdunkles. Dabei hat es gute malzige Aromen und einen leichten Buttergeschmack dazu. Für wirklich hohe Süffigkeit fehlt es mir ein bisschen an den getreidigen Aromen, aber dennoch ein gut zu trinkenden Bier. Friday, August 23, 2019

Rhombic	3.4 U Dvou Koček Tmavá Kočka 12° Draught. I was originally scared that I was not going to find it because even in the bill it just said "tmavé pivo"... but thankfully here it is!!! It's a black beer with a pale tan head. Aromas of forest fruits and pear, dark malts and vanilla. Flavours more dominated by hops than the usual tmavý beers I have encountered in Prague. A very unusual yet intriguing herbal tea counterpart to the flavour that eventually yields a mellow malty finish. Potentially star anise or liquorice? Not quite, but that idea. Dry, mild to medium, gradual finish and changing character throughout. A good beer. Thursday, March 29, 2018
