Decent supple taste of a simple high fermentation amber. Considering the price, location, etc I really enjoyed drinking this. corkyrory66	1.7 Oldarki Bière au Patxaran Bière basque … produite par Castelain près de Lens, en Nord Pas de Calais... On ne peut pas trouver plus loin (1000 kilomètres...) Merci pour le régionalisme !!! Bref, tant mieux pour les nordistes, qui ainsi pourront connaître le patxaran, liqueur basque qui entre dans la composition de la bière... à raison de 0,1 cl pour 1 litre !!! Merci le dosage !!!! Couleur rose foncé ou roux clair (vous choisissez...). Clarté au léger trouble de levure. Bulles moyennes par centaines partout. Mousse à texture de blanc d’oeuf battu, à reflets rosés, pas mal fournie. Arômes de prunelle, houblon et un malt assez joli. Volume assez liquide (mon exemplaire était longuement réfrigéré). 1ère bouche sur la pomme de terre, plate, avec quelques accents de prunes mais plutôt sur la groseille blanche. Arrière-bouche maltée sympathique. 2ème plate, assez banale dans son relief. Petite arrière-bouche anisée. 3ème sans relief, au goût très linéaire, mais pas désagréable pour autant. La longueur descend d’un cran (c’est toujours très grave, et impardonnable, on le sait …) L’alcool, fixé à 6% abv est juste de façade. La levure est lisse, sans caractère mais correcte. La finale n’offre que des esquisses d’anis (tiens, ça rime …). Conclusion : sans commentaire sur le régionalisme, qui paraît bien fade et bien pâle au vu de cette bière. Mieux vaut aller sur la plage à Biarritz ou à St Jean de Luz ou à Hendaye … ou sur la corniche entre St Jean et Hendaye … Merci pour le conseil ... Thursday, September 19, 2013

There’ s a hint of pink in the head as well. The footy, dusty aroma is both floral and fruity. Firm, malty palate with slight berryish note and light florals. Finishes with a creamy, sweet mouthfeel.
