Trouble Brewing íRound Midnight Belgian White
Can. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off-white head and lively carbonation. Bit of orange peel in the aroma along with some grain notes. This is super sweet with a touch of spices. This just tastes off for a witbier, almost like you tried to put some orange peel in a malt liquor or something. Disappointing.

Trouble Brewing Red Flag Amber Ale
Can. Aroma of honey and lager. Clear amber under a lasting white sheet. Slightly sweet honey flavour that is not balanced by bitterness, but does have a carbonic bite that rescues it from being totally off balance. Light body, medium high carbonation, slightly metallic.

Trouble Brewing After Party Pale Ale
12 oz can from asheft (Danke!), served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear light amber with a fairly tight off-white head. Aroma: A little pine/resin, lightly peppery, light citrus and a little peach/apricot (I think), a little grainy and bready malt, kinda muddled and muted. Palate: Medium to medium+ body, moderate and slightly edgy carbonation. Flav.: Like the nose, there is a bit of fruitiness, a bit of citrus, a thicker malt presence, still muddled and lacking crispness (for lack of a better term); off dry with almost moderate bitterness and a kinda muddy/murky/thick finish.

Having a hard time with words today. This beer just doesnít pop.

Trouble Brewing íRound Midnight Belgian White
12 oz can from asheft (Danke!), served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Hazy deep golden with a fairly tight white head, good lacing. Aroma: Smells like fruit salad, pears, peaches, even maraschino cherry, yeast and bread dough ďthicknessĒ, a little earthy/citrusy coriander that seems to come through more in the second half of the can. Palate: Medium+ body, moderate to moderate+ carbonation, smooth. Flav.: Kinda thick and doughy, estery fruitiness, a bit of alcohol, bread dough and yeast, apples and pears, struggling to get much citrus or coriander; lightly sweet with gentle bitterness and a fruity, doughy finish.

Not very bright, expressive or refreshing for a Wit.

Trouble Brewing Catís Away IPA
Can. Sweet grapefruit and pine aroma with faint peach accents and a weak base malt backbone. Some unpleasant dank notes. Clear amber under a lasting white flannel blanket. Bitter and dry flavour with a little grapefruit peel and astringency. Some stone fruit notes. Faint metallic or scotch tape notes are undelicious. Medium light body, medium carbonation, crisp.

Wild Range Session IPA
Bottle: Pours honey-amber with a creamy, off-white head. Orange, grain aroma. Taste is dry.....orange-peel, grain malt. Pretty generic tasting....soft, peppery bittering after a bit. More APA-like than IPA....and at 6.3%....kinda stretches the "Session" moniker.... Just OK.

this beer is offensive. itís so bad it pisses me off. i bought it on a whim because whole foods had it marked down from $11.99 to $8.99 for a sixer. this is truly one of the worst beers Iíve ever tasted. after trying to mix it with a session ipa so as to not lose the investment, i poured the rest out. seriously.

Bottle, Ann Arbor, MI via Aldi. Pale yellow. Thin head. Citrus aroma, some pepper, very kolsch like. Some hops on the first sip them taken over by overly sweet honey. Finish has more hops but the sweetness overpowers. Could more crisp.

Rockdale Light
Rockdale Light has a thick, crackly, white head, a clear, bubbly, pale straw appearance, and minimal lacing left behind. The aroma is of pale grains and sweet bread, and the flavor is of those elements, with no noticeable bitterness. Mouthfeel is very light, and Rockdale Light finishes crisp and refreshing. RJT

Double Take Amber Ale
July 4th, 2014 - Evernote kindly deleted the photo I took for Double Takeís Amber Ale, so I am going into this review fairly blind, but I donít think this takes away much from what was otherwise an underwhelming beer. The nose is reasonably engaging, with a sweet, caramel overtone and some bubble gum touches, but the flavor is effectively absent. Flavorless and a light body, itís like drinking a paper towel, and does nothing to satiate the end of a long day,

Trouble Brewing After Party Pale Ale
It pours golden with a white head that produces some lacing. There is a slight cloudiness to the beer. There are aromas of floral and grassy hops. There are also some bread malts. There are flavors of mostly floral and grassy hops. The bread malt provides a little bit of balance to the overall taste. It has a light feel on the heavy side. It has a moderately bitter finish. Overall, it is a fairly clean beer that tries to highlight the floral and grass flavors.

Double Take Belgian White
July 4th, 2014 - Fourth of July begins with a white (one of three colors to celebrate?), Double Takeís Belgian White, whose color may be patriotic, but the provenance is not. Still, it is a bubbly beer, full of carbonation fireworks, popping into a huge, white and fluffy head. The smell is close to that of a wit, with lots of popcorn, possibly a diacetyl bomb, but nothing offensive. And the flavor is heavier than expected, more butter, and a medium palate. The aftertaste is long, too, where I was expecting something softer and ephemeral. This is an assertive wit, and I like it.

Trouble Brewing Catís Away IPA
12-ounce cans in a pint glass. Aroma is unfortunately not as strong as most IPAs. The flavor is also a bit muted compared to others in its type, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, because I find IPAs to be too bitter most of the time, but not this one.
