DraftDodger	3 Thisted Spring IPA Copenhagen 6/4 2023. 50 cl bottle from Netto, Tomsgårdsvej, Kbh. NV. Light blue label with crude drawings of exotic from and citrus fruit. Pours unclear golden orange with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as paper thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of ripe stone fruits mingling with tart citrus fruit. Peach and apricot. Grapefruit and lemon. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture. Flavor Is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a bi. TorbenJensen	2.6 Thisted Easter Bock Easter Bock presents itself with a beautiful deep amber color that lights up in the glass. The foam is creamy and rich, with a light ivory color that leaves a nice trail along the edge of the glass as it slowly fades. At first smell, there is a pleasant and intense aroma of malt that dominates, accompanied by sweet notes of caramel and dark rye bread. The background offers subtle hints of dried fruit and a hint of spice that adds depth to the experience. The first sip of Easter Bock reveals an impressive complexity. The malty character is at the center, with a sweet and rich taste of caramel and bread. Towards the end, a light bitterness is revealed that balances the beer's sweetness and contributes to a pleasant finish. The sweet notes of malt and caramel linger and in the long run I find it far too sweet and quickly miss a little more hops to balance the taste better. It is an average representation of a classic German bock, combining depth, complexity and drinkability, but there are many southern German bock types that are far better. Friday, March 29, 2024
