Oakes	3.5 Austin Beerworks Heisenberg Pale gold, bright. Medium head. A bit wheaty, low bitterness, low acidity, touch of banana. A bit sweet but that’s about right for the style. One of those beers that I’d like a lot better at the judging table than any other context. Monday, April 15, 2024

ttoadee	4.1 Austin Beerworks / Meanwhile / Zilker In the Path of Totality Dark gold pour, slight haze, healthy off white head. Nose is peach and nectarine. Middle shows fresh peach, bready mouthfeel, sweet citrus, hint if caramel, floral notes. Finish is juicy, with a citrus zest, and coats the tongue. Nice. Thursday, March 7, 2024

KevinReddirt	3.9 Austin Beerworks Fire Eagle Found a 12 oz can at a Total Wine in Austin earlier this month. The pour will be into an ABGB snifter, fittingly. The appearance is a mostly clear, gold body followed by a large head of almost white foam that settles to a consistent level. A traditional IPA scent, I get a nice hoppy beginning finished by citrus, straw and white bread. I lift the glass for a drink and say, well, this is okay. Cedar pine strongly, lemon, grain, grapefruit, malt, paper and a small but nice toffee sweetness. There's plenty of hops bitterness to go with it all. I had a surprisingly good IPA a couple of days ago, I think this one is better. Saturday, February 24, 2024

mmmbeer	3.6 Austin Beerworks Sun Shovel 12 oz can served in a tumbler, from Total Wine on Lakeline: poured a heavily turbid sun faded orange color, 3 mm head formed but did not lace. Aroma of wheat and peaches. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt was intertwined with wheat damn near perfectly, middle holds up well with an apricot/peach sensation in the background, finish is malty and filling. Real good! Juicy hops aroma, which is weird for a wheat ale. The taste follows the nose. Pretty standard wheat ale base with strong citrus notes and a light hops finish. Medium body and carbonation.
