Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Matteo. Very hazy gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light, dry and has good fine carbonation. Slightly acidic lemon sherbet precedes nice generic candy fruits. Mild prune lurks in the background. Dry finish brings still more sherbet zip. Very sherbet beer. Nice one.

Crooked Stave Petite Sour (Blueberry)
This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy bronzed burnt orange to ruddy brown color. Thin white foamy head rimmed the glass all around in a concave sort of fashion. The aroma starts off with a sour "bretty" blueberry tartness. Subtle sour blueberry fruitiness glosses over some sweetness from the blueberry flesh. The flavor bumps the sourness with the tartness with a nice underscore of sweetness. Brett is there but balancing nicely. Dry blueberry aftertaste yielding to the same sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sipping to sessionable quality coming about. Good carbonation. Overall, this was a nice American Wild ale with blueberries rolling about. I would have again.

Crooked Stave Nightmare on Brett (Raspberry)
My Bottom Line:
Leather-bound raspberries envelop the palate with juiciness and sourness in this superbly flavorful creation.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slim ring of foam circles the darkened blood red.
-Mouthfeel is silky and juicy, though the intensity of the sourness decreases drinkability somewhat. Eat some creamy goat cheese with it and it all becomes heavenly.
-A touch of chocolate is imagined as well.
-The nose points to a sweeter beer (oaken vanilla notes), but the flavour profile and texture have nothing sweet to showcase. This is all about fruit, acidity… and luxury.
-Body is very dry as well.
-Whisky blends in perfectly.
-Carbonation is practically absent, which takes this beer even closer to the world of wine.

Bottle.

I got this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a faint white head. Lots Brett, some citrus, mildly tart. I was disappointed not very sour or tart, just a lot of Brett. I would not drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
