cheap	3.6 Finch Taco Cat Lime green can from my daughter for Christmas 2020. Not much forward on the nose, except perhaps a tad of sour milk. Nice that it is simply pure wild beer without any fruit. Easy to like wild brew, I like these wild things, they are so natural. Probably much like the original beers of ancient times, I bet. I really enjoy this laid back natural brew. Unaffected by stupid ass high bitter hops, this brew lets the true sensation of real beer shine thru. Good sizzle across the palate. Wasn't sure I'd like this considering the name but after this beer drinking experience, I've developed a new appreciation for finch. Saturday, December 26, 2020

The nose was soft wheat, mild citrus & rind, subtle lemon/lime tartness, and a touch of spice as coriander. The nose was yeast & spice, with subtle sweetness, soft malt, light citrus, a bit of tropical scent, and slight grass & greenery. Close to medium bodied, the taste was similar, with okay spritz to the carbonation that also escorted a bit of tartness, and modest citrus & rind astringency. Tart on the palate too, of course, with no fruit sour here, just what comes from lactobacillus in the wort. Some of the malt does wander in as the beer goes down. The taste is a bit chocolatey, with a thread of cherry behind it. Hops are more like prickly noble hops than the English kind, but not too far off. Flavors of the same mix with more blackberry and cream. Later sips have raisin and char, then a bit of green herb in the finish. Medium body with low-medium carbonation and a good balance. Frank	2.9 Finch Hardcore Chimera This is really bland for a IIPA. There is a big, heavy substance to the texture like you'd expect in a big beer but there flavor just isn't there. tmoreau	3.5 Finch Mane Man 12 oz. can poured to a fest chalice at home showing a black/brown hue, with some ruby highlighting at the base, a fluffy, rather persistent layer of brownish tan froth, and foamy ribbons & spots of lacing. The nose presented an initial but fleeting metallic hint, then roasted notes, light graininess with a touch of tanginess, some woody & nutty maltiness, and a hint of vanilla, moderate caramel, chocolate & toffee. Close to medium bodied, with lively spritz to the carbonation, the taste was similar notes, adding subtle malt creaminess to the texture, lingering roasted & earthy bitterness, and light dryness to the finish.
