Pinball	3.6 Reptilian / Steel City Painettone can from gramophone bar in puerto de la cruz. aroma is roasted malty, coffee, bit sour roasted malty, flavor is coffee with cream, cake frosting, fainter chocolate and roasted malts, warming alcohol. quite sweet and lots of lacto and not that much roasted malts, but quite drinkable anyway. Schlenkerla29	4.2 Reptilian Apokalypse Apokalyptisch pechschwarz gibt sich die „Apokalypse“ getaufte Kreation der Reptilian Brewery aus der Nähe von Taragona die Ehre. Die Schäumung bleibt aus, dafür kann die Nase angesichts von Espresso, dunkler Schokolade, Vanille und etwas bitterem Kakao umso mehr frohlocken. Erwartungsgemäß weich und wuchtig wird die Apokalypse eröffnet. Dem anfänglich leicht überforderten Gaumen werden Aromen von starkem Kaffee, Lakritz, Bitterschokolade und sogar ein Hauch von Vanille geboten. Süße und Würze halten sich trotz des mitverarbeiteten Rohrzuckers in etwa die Waage. Aromatische Bitterschokolade und eine irgendwie an überreife Zwetschgen erinnernde Fruchtigkeit bilden den Mittelteil meines heutigen ölig-cremigen Testkandidaten. Der lakritzartige Abgang zieht eine angenehme Kakaobittere nach sich. Die angegebenen 100 IBU werden durch die deutliche Süße erfolgreich abgefedert. Die 11 % Alkohol sticheln im Nachtrunk hier und da minimal durch, verleiden einem jedoch ob ihrer Milde in keiner Weise den Genuss. Und ein Genuss ist dieses wuchtige Russian Imperial Stout aus dem südlichen Katalonien definitiv! Tuesday, January 3, 2023

Nose is mellow roast, dark fruit rinds, toasted brown sugars, light spice, chocolate. Taste comprises roast malts, chocolate, spice, charr, vanilla essence, fruit cake mix, toffee, brown sugar melt. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost offered at the curtain call.
