Magic Rock Cannonball 3.5
Pours pale amber with good lacing and persistent white head. Aroma is more muted than I expected, with caramel, some citrus and soapy notes, but definitely no hop bomb. Flavour is sweet, malty, some bitterness with short to medium finish. Little disappointed with this given the high ratings on here. Wonder if may have been past its best

Magic Rock High Wire Grapefruit 3.7
Can. Smells if pink grapefruit and tastes of big grapefruit and other citrus fruits. I generally don’t like beers that are so dominated by non core beer ingredients but I’ll make an exception for this.

Magic Rock Grand Marnier Bearded Lady 4.4
Can. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Clear, darkest chocolate brown. Film of dense, tan head. The beer itself clings to every bit of the glass. Nose has Grand Marnier in spades. Orangey and boozy, and a little bit woody. Some cocoa powder. Undertones of Pontefract cake and black treacle. Taste is light, treacly sweet. Turns dark chocolate, orange zest bitter. Mouthfeel is perfect. Rich but not clarty. Smooth and silky. Hint of dryness. Finishes soft, orangey, chocolatey bitter. Beautiful.

Magic Rock / Toccalmatto Custard Pie 2.5
Would you believe me if I said rhubarb? Hard to place, fruity aroma with a gripping grainy ’bitter’ character. Flavour is bizarre having an odd bitterness and an unnatrual fruit twang, though I can only imagine that this is the vanilla, mingling with the hop flavours. It’s not a massively pleasant combination but it is interesting and drinkable.

Magic Rock Bourbon Barrel Bearded Lady Dessert Edition 4.7
Tap sample at 2015 RateBeer Best festival. Pours opaque black, small beige head with good lacing. Ho hum yet another imperial stout, right? Aroma is BOOM, bourbon, cinnamon, more cinnamon, vanilla, roasted malts, chocolate bars - really desert in a glass as far as my nose is concerned. Flavor is light plus bitter, yeah, fully sweet, cinnamon prominent but not overpowering. Medium plus body. This may have been the beer of the tournament for me. Winner.

Magic Rock Cannonball 3.6
Fancied something cold and tasty - a classic IPA straight from the can. Hit the spot. It’s cloudy and gold, with a thin layer of white head. Plenty of fruit on the nose - grapefruit, mango and apple - with some subtle pine. Bags of bitterness throughout the flavour, with lemon, sweetness and aforementioned fruit. Does the job very nicely.

33cl can, served in Shaker glass. Nice orange colour with white head. Aroma is mango, orange and hints of pine. Taste is predominantly tropical along with caramel notes. It’s good but not as good as the aroma. Pleasant bitterness, it’s half sweet and half dry on th palate. Medium body, good carbonation. Quite balanced and tasty.

Magic Rock High Wire Grapefruit 3.7
33cl can, served in Shaker glass. Pours orange with white head. Very tropical on the nose with hints of lemon. Taste is grapefruit, citrus, orange and hints of caramel. The grapefruit is clearly dominant, it’s very easy to notice that they used some to brew this beer. Dry on the palate and not too sweet for what it is. Medium body, good carbonation. Highly drinkable and refreshing, very recommended to have this in summer.

Keg at Ubrew. It pours hazy red-amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is juicy, pine, resin, bubblegum, orange peel, blood orange and orange muffin. The taste is bitter, piney, varnish, resin, peppery spice, rye, touch of toffee, orange peel, blood orange and brown bread with a dry, citrus peel finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty punchy and tasty.

Magic Rock High Wire 2.6
Tapped 50cl @ the beer corner, Zaragoza (spain) Golden C3PO beer, white head, low lacing. Smell is unexistent given the style. Drinkable beer, unexpectedly meaningless.

Magic Rock High Wire Grapefruit 4.8
Can. Wow, big up front 3 dimensional grapefruit bitterness moving into a wave of classic high wire and an epic juicy bitter finish. It is like drinking a mix of grapefruit and beer (duh) but the two flavours weave in and out rather than just combining. Think purists may argue this is an elaborate shandy rather than a 4 ingredient beer but I love it. Pamplemousse perfection.

Magic Rock Grand Marnier Bearded Lady 4.2
