Magic Rock Salty Kiss
Draight at Pivni; York. Gold color with a thin, lacing head. I was looking for fruit but I am not finding it in the aroma or flavor Some salt and yeast. Lightly tart. This is ok, but lacking the fruit character promised by the name.

Can from the Rainbow Project from Honest Brew. Pours blond with a frothy fadinf off white head. Nice tropical fruit aroma with mango and passionfruit. The taste is sour with sharp lemon juice at first before tropical fruits come though, especially passion fruit along with a little corriande spice. Nice.

Magic Rock Salty Kiss

Magic Rock Common Grounds
Pours dark brown with a big fluffy head. The aroma is really strong with freshly ground coffee as you would expect. Loads and loads of coffee in the flavour but nothing else, perhaps could have done with just a little more complexity.

Pours murky red, so murky it almost appears brown. White head that disappears to a white lace that persists. Aroma of red berry, tropical fruit, pine. Taste is sweet and very hop upfront but not overly bitter. Flavours of toasted malt, fresh resinous pine, orange, red berries and mild herbal notes. A well balanced IPA. Very similar aroma and flavours to Brewdog 5am Saint (which is also a red hoppy ale) but this one just tops it with abit more of a fresher hop taste (by memory).

330ml can. This is my first Gose beer and as of yet not my preferred style of beer but this is by no means a bad drink. Cloudy yellow colour like a wheat beer but not as bright. Tart gooseberry nose. Slightly salty tart almost yoghurty flavour. A bit thin tasting but that makes it even more refreshing.

Magic Rock Bourbon Barrel Bearded Lady Hazelnut Dessert Edition
Tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival in Boston (9-24-2016) showing pitch black with quickly dissipating latte colored foam. The nose shows nutella hazelnut flavors with coffee. Well balanced and complimentary. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Roasted notes in the background with cappuccino forward flavors and notes of light coffee here and there. The hazelnut seems to make it lightly sweet but the hazelnut could just brighten the darker flavors. The finish shows a burnt coffee and dark chocolate bitterness. Very well done.

Magic Rock Bourbon Barrel Bearded Lady Hazelnut Dessert Edition
4 oz. draft, Copenhagen Brewfest, Boston. This was marked as the Hazelnut variant. And yes, the aroma shows hazelnut, vanilla bean, chocolate cake batter, and roast.

The warming alcohol is here slightly in the aftertaste but I can’t pick out the bourbon. No matter, the stout itself is lovely. Full thick mouthfeel with a creamy feel over the palate. Large amounts of chocolate, hazelnut, and vanilla.

Magic Rock / Against The Grain Rhubarbarella
Keg at Draft House as Magic Rock Rhubarbarella, 7%. Honey and rhubarb beer. Hazy orange, sparkling, foamy dense creamy head. Aroma is buttery popcorn, margerine, butter candy, fudge, the balloons you get when you’re a kid. Smells more like balloons the more I drink. Body is fairly light, frothy, tingly carbonation. Taste is popcorn that’s been left in an open bag for a few weeks in a damp atmosphere, touches of rhubarb and honey as promised - undeniably. But the vibe is buttery popcorn, glue, papery. Weirdest flavour profile I’ve had in a while. Not for me I’m afraid. But worth trying for the weirdness.

Pours hazy orange color with a large white head. Very very citric aroma, grapefruits, mild spice notes, some wheat and hops. The flavor is quite tangy citric too, again grapefruits and lemon here, gooseberries, very mouthwatering, some sweetness in form of pineapple maybe. Nothing like I’ve been tasting recently, very intriguing.
