Pours copper brown with an off white head. Via Roma has a lot of perfume, mildly toasted malt and some mushiness. It has a medium body with some sharpness and mild carbonation. It starts with some perfume and mushiness. It then gets very astringent and metallic. Kind off putting. Usually like motherís, but this wasnít for me.

Motherís Imperial Three Blind Mice - Raspberry
22 oz bomber purchased at the brewery in Springfield, Missouri. The pour is a hazed almost murky brown with a well formed one inch khaki head. The aroma is clean soft cocoa chocolate along with fresh raspberry and general malt sweetness. The taste is the malt initially, toffee, nut, caramel along with the cocoa chocolate of the nose, and the finish is the softly tart raspberry, that really cuts nicely through the initial sweetness and dries out the finish. The palate is medium to heavy bodied, lower carbonation and the sweet than clean tart raspberry in the aftertaste. Flavors really meld well, beautifully executed concept.

(Motherís MILF) Bottle 355 ml from RobertDale, many thanks! Served into a snifter, ABV 11% Totally black coloured body with two fingers of thick, dark brown head on top, with very good retention. Nice aroma with chocolate, toasted malts, light alcohol, not as complex as I expected though. Taste is better, alcohol and vanilla, roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon and light brandy. Thick body with good carbonation. Another very good, big american stout.

Bottle thanks to my boy brandon! Pour is nearly black with a small ring of brown foam. Aroma is chocolaty and sweet with fruity notes along with some dingy barrell character and some tobacco. Seems like the sherry and brandy are notable. Flavor is sweet and lightly roasty with lots of sweet barrel character, very light smoke, and some peat. No alcohol at all. Rounded lasting finish with dried fruit and vanilla noted. Light soft carb. Flavor better than Aroma. Tasty stuff!

The beer pours golden yellow with a light haze and has a white head. The aroma has rich pale malt, cream and some dough. It has a medium body with fairly soft carbonation. The taste starts with spicy hops, lake malt, light saltiness and crackers. The finish is a bit watery and salty. Okay.

Into a pint glass we go.

Pours an Amber color. Clear, filtered, and pretty. Has almost two fingers rocky white head. Good retention, good lacing.

Aroma is very high on orange zest, grapefruit, pine and bread crust. The citrus aroma may be a little too over the top, as it approaches the smell of cat urine, or maybe thatís the pine.

Taste is piney, citrusy, yet mildly sweet. Thereís a good bit of hops bitterness that lingers. Thereís also maybe some pepper in there.

Mouthfeel is medium body, but it has the taste of a fuller beer. Carbonation was pretty soft. Itís somewhat of a silky swallow.

Overall, itís pretty good. Motherís has not created anything new or special, there are better APAs out there. The ícat urineí aroma I mentioned earlier, decreses as it warms. Bottle deScription says that it has an uncanny balance..well no, I disagree, but maybe more balanced than most in the style...maybe.I would drink this again, without question. I might be compelled to buy it, but I donít know that I would recommend it.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Aroma is interesting with a moderately strong raisin note and some lighter chocolate notes. Some burnt sugar notes and hints of roast and leather. Some light alcohol spice. Some prune and cherry notes. Pours black with a medium sized, moderately thick, dark tan head that recedes to a thin film that lingers on the edges for quite some time. Faint lacing moderately long legs. Flavor is moderately to fairly sweet with quite a bit of chocolate. Some medium light raisin notes and some light roast. Medium bitterness. Some medium light alcohol spice. Some light vanilla notes with lingering chocolate. Hints of berry and prune. Mouthfeel is full bodied and somewhat creamy with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice, high alcohol beer. Lots of raisin and dark fruit in the aroma but a lot more chocolate and malt notes in the flavor. A bit too much alcohol for me, but still pretty enjoyable.

Motherís Love Factory
22 oz red wax sealed bomber purchased at the brewery in Springfield, Missouri. Date printing on the neck of the bottle is illegible. The pour is a hazed copper orange with a well formed Ĺ inch light tan head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt, dried fruit, specifically raisin, general floral and warming alcohol. The taste is strong caramel malt, fig raisin, perfume floral and a decent blast of hot alcohol towards the back. The palate is medium to heavy bodied, soft carbonation, and a dry sweet boozy finish. Nicely crafted, just not really my type of beer.

Bottle, shared by me... in the library... just now.
Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a tan head that leaves good lacing on the glass.

The aroma is just lovely, I mean it just smells like coffee & a little bit of malt with a mild fruity hop thing happening... but mostly it juts smells like coffee, roasty, rich, lightly sweet. cooooool.

The flavor is pretty well balanced really, of course itís lots of coffee but it fits well with the roastiness and the sweetness of the malt. Itís got some light dark chocolate, itís got a medium level of bitterness, itís really pretty rich and delicious honestly.

I must have had an off batch going by other ratings but this beer was way too complex and boozy for me. So many flavors hitting at once, a bit overkill. Definitely taste the raisins and rum/brandy barreling.

Motherís Holy Mole
Shaker pint draft at the Brewery Tasting Room in Springfield, Missouri. The pour is cloudy brown with a foamy light tan head. The aroma is sweet nut malt along with cocoa and Chile pepper. The taste is the sweet nut malt and cocoa of the nose, nicely integrated with a bit of the chili pepper warmth to the finish. As the beer warms, the cocoa expresses itself as bakerís chocolate. The palate is medium to light bodied with active carbonation and a clean sweet spice pepper finish. Nicely executed.

Such a pleasure to enjoy. Almost tastes like a whiskey and beer combo. Hints of chocolate followed by strong flavors of barrell whiskey. At 11 percent you only need a couple to understand the breadth of this beer.

Pours a very dark brown color. I got a ton of khaki head, pretty decent longevity. Pretty nice lacing.

Aroma is outstanding. Espresso, dark and bold. Bitter and black, you know what Iím talking about. Thatís it. Nothing more on the nose.

Taste is a let down. I was expecting that same espresso, but Iím getting more of a Folgers left over grind taste.

Iím a huge coffee drinker and hate Folgers, by the way.

But anyhow while disappointing, the taste is slightly creamy and dark roasty. Hops? Maybe... I still like it, only not as much.

Mouthfeel is full flavored, not necessarily full bodied. Maybe medium bodied. It has a grit to it, like coffee grounds in your coffee. Itís like drinking cold coffee.

Overall, itís pretty good. Iím not sure how to rate these. Yes, it reminds me of coffee, good job. But itís not really a lot more than that. If thatís the goal, then you did your job. If the goal is to push the mug, then... However, Iím not disappointed in the finished product here. Itís enjoyable. I would drink it again, and would highly recommend.

Motherís Mr. Pumpkin
Pours a cloudy burnt orange color. Very cloudy indeed. Lots of stuff suspended in there, not floating, just suspended, like it were a gel. Iím going to assume that is spices. Aggressive pour, and didnít get a finger of head. Retention only around the glass. Barely any lacing.

Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and all the things pumpkin pie is made of. There is some caramel malty sweetness, but youíll have to wade through the spices to find it. Too much spice.

Taste is more of the same. Lots of spice. I wouldnít say that itís bad, I think they went a little nuts with the spice. I can taste pumpkin in this, but reduce the spice, and it would really shine. Though spicy, the general taste is quite sweet.

Mouthfeel is medium. The carbonation makes it feel a little lighter than it really is. The spices in this make it slightly difficult to drink. The beer overall is sweet, but the finish is bitter.

Overall, itís decent. Itís not the best pumpkin beer ever. But reduce that spice and it could be. Many pumpkin offerings make the mistake of being too spicy, but this one could have the best pumpkin flavor of them all. I might try this again in a couple of years to see if theyíve improved on it.

12oz bottle, courtesy of gregwilsonstl, pours with a deep amber colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up a bit of nuttiness and then a mineral sensation heading quickly into sweet malts and a dash of chocolate malts. The taste quickly attains a pleasing roastiness with dark roasted malts, roasty earthy tobacco like malts and then a thin burnt malt note. To midway the sweeter malts and chocolate make a move forward adding a nice counter to the roastiness. This comes together nicely. Fun brown.

Pour is a clear brown witha large tan head. Aroma is a nice but faint cocoa but there is also a big alcohol presence. Flavor is a chewy chocolate malt similar to other brown ales but again there is a noticable alcohol. Finish has a bit of sweet malt but again you canít escape the alcohol. I donít know what they were going for here. Itís like an average brown ale with a lot of alcohol.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a wonderful roasted coffee. This is almost more of a espresso roast. Flavor is a great bitter roasted coffee with a prefect roasted mouth feel. The aftertaste is full of nutty goodness. Not only is this a great coffee stout with a rich coffee flavor the roasted nut aftertaste is equally stellar. Plenty flavorful and full of coffe and roasted malt.
