Bruno Altböhmisches Bier Dunkel 3.4
On tap at the market at Altmarkt, Dresden. Clear brown with a fairly large, beige head. Bready and malty aroma with dark fruits, slightly roasty notes and caramel. Medium sweet with dak bready flavours and a light bitterness. Tasty and surprisingly easy to drink.

Rebel Nealko 2.3
Keg at Rebel Wings on Hybernska. Went for lunch there after the Zizkov v Benatky game (4-0). Great looking pub. Really poor food. The beer came out looking beautiful. Clear and Golden with a luscious White head. It smells funny. Tastes like a malt beverage (which it is). I didn’t finish it.

Rebel Original Premium 12° 2
Bottle at Pivovarsky Klub, Prague. Pours a clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of grain, mineral, slight vegetable and subtle peppery hops. Taste of grain, some bready malt, some mineral, slightly metallic and subtle peppery hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, grain, peppery hop bitterness in the finish. Good bitterness in this but it very minerally and metallic. Nah.

Královský Lev (Lev Lion Pale Double Bock) 2.5
Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle poured into a glass. Clear golden with big white head. Aroma is light malt, light body, low carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is quite a bit of Pilsner malt, grassy hops, and hints of alcohol. More of a pale lager than pilsner, boring.

Královský Lev (Lev Lion Pale Double Bock) 2.6
Gold beer with a thick billowing white head that forms a solid surface foam. Nose of corn syrup, light caramel, and cardboard. Flavor is typical generic Eurotrash with some sweet caramel undertones topped by a flaccid wet cardboard hop profile. Not what I look for in a double bock.

Královský Lev (Lev Lion Pale Double Bock) 3

Královský Lev Votrok (Lev Lion Lager) 3.2
Bottle from Bevmo. Refrigerated, but couldn’t find a best by date. It pours a clear, rich golden color with a large, lasting white head. Looks nice. The aroma has a good balance of lightly toasted pale malts and spicy, earthy hops. A very light hint of sulfury skunk, but not too distracting. The flavor is a bit dusty with some hints of metal, spicy hops and some lightly toasted malts with a hint of caramel. Good balance, but the malt character seems off to me. Maybe it’s an old bottle. Hint of apple in the finish as well. Overall, not bad but not one of my favorite Czech Pilsners.

Aroma: Weak, light malty, some barnyard.

Rebel Velikonoční Ležák Drsoň 3.4
(Draught at Zly Casy, Prague, 24 July 2015) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, hay, grass, toffee and fresh grassy hops. Malty taste with notes of bread, grass, toffee, a touch of candy sugar and a balanced grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, with a fresh hop character, but on the sweet side. Quite nice.

Rebel Zlatý 1.4
The foam decreases rapidly, leaving a thin layer on a low-carbonated beer. Therefore, it acts quickly flat. The aroma is not as exciting, but is just slightly hoppy. The taste lacking fullness and richness malt and hops are shown not the good Czech Saaz, but rather a less expensive and less appealing alternative. Hop bitterness is actually only flavor factor in this pilsner and expects to Czech quality you will be disappointed.

Rebel Černý 2.7
Very beautiful light brown foam settles on top of this dark lager. The aroma is malty with a slight touch of hops. It tastes sweet and has little coffee as tang within an easy hop bitterness comes on the field. A good dark lager, but perhaps a little too conservative.

Fľaša z pivotéky v Nitre. Jemná, ale pekne držiaca pena, aróma málo výrazná, kyslasto sladová. Nižšia rezkosť, vyrovnaná chuť sladu a chmelu. Pripomína mi lepšie chutiace zahraničné ležiaky. V zložení je cukor za čo dávam palec aj body dolu.
