473 ml can purchase at the LCBO on Rideau & King Edward (Ottawa) on June 30, 2016. Light gold, small head. Dry barley malt aroma, light hoppiness. Hoppy barley taste, quite dry, light bitterness. Fairly drinkable, the dry hoppiness helps!

Can. Clear yellow body, thick beige head. Very lager-like aroma, and the flavor has a kick to it that takes the subtleness out of it. Tone it down a bit and give it finesse!

Double Trouble Grow A Pear
473ml can. Pours no head whatsoever and has a pale yellowish appearance. No lacing. Aromas are a bit fruity, hints of pears, a bit dank. Flavours are very sweet, citric juices, sugary and syrupy. Pear flavour mainly in the finish. Has a tangy mouthfeel. It might be a bit much to have any more than the one tallboy. Too sweet.

Double Trouble Prison Break Breakout Pilsner
Saw a picture of it in a glass looked unfiltered so for a pilsner it had a chance to be OK. Not so much, but way better than the "usual" crap calling itself "Craft" pilsner. Tasty yes , better than most. I find pils a challenging catagory. Refreshing yes but just lacking in character. Guess I am just and ale guy at heart, unfiltered hopped up love it, lagers and pils good not my idea of great

Double Trouble Revenge of the Ginger
Can. Cloudy, darker amber pour with a small beige head. Aroma is ginger and caramel, some candy sweetness with a touch of citrus zest. Taste is caramel malt with a big hit of ginger, hints of hops but largely sweet and gingery. An interesting concept, but not very balanced and the flavour doesn't come together.

Double Trouble Prison Break Breakout Pilsner
A dense white head on a light golden body. The nose is enjoyable with elements of cereal, honey, and hay. As expected, Pils malts are in the forefront of the taste profile, with some extra fruity hops, dry grass, honey and roasted cereal blended in. A slight metallic taste is a bit odd, but doesn’t diminish the success of the overall taste.

Pale red in color, hint of ginger to start with a bit of malts and hops to finish, not a big fan but then again I’m not a huge ginger fan

Double Trouble Revenge of the Ginger
Can poured into Bell’s tulip glass. Dark orange/red body, lasting foamy off-white had, and nice lacing. Attractive. Sweet malt, ginger, vanilla aroma. Taste is dominated by ginger, but balanced by hops, some heat, rich sweet malts. I normally don’t like ginger, especially not ginger beers, but I wouldn’t call this a ginger beer, per se, as it’s a real beer with ginger in it. Pretty good.

Can: Poured alight black color stout with a large light brown foamy head with good retention. Aroma of nice floral coffee notes, with some hazelnut and chocolate notes also prevalent. Taste is a nice mix between floral coffee notes with limited bitterness, hazelnut and light black chocolate notes with hints of residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. I wasn’t expecting much but this is a pleasant surprise.
