Rex_Remes	3.1 Voll-Damm (Doble Malta) (330ml can, Valencia. 22 Apr 2024) AROMA: very light nose, tiny bit of malt and bread dough APPEARANCE: medium honey amber, hint of haze, average carbonation and head, some ok residual though TASTE: malt forward, some roastiness as well as some bitter hoppiness, brown sugar and honey, dark chocolate, some greeness and spice/herbs PALATE: medium body overall, average bite upfront then relatively rich with a fair amount of lingering flavors and dry feeling. pretty good feel. OVERALL: not bad. actually gets better if let it warm up and breath a bit. not super complex and a tad sweet, but ok body and richness .. and it's 7.2% ABV (don't really taste it though). a bit like a german bock beer. Rex_Remes	3 Rosa Blanca Hoppy Lager (330ml can, Valencia. 22 Apr 2024) AROMA: citrusy hops, grain, yeast, APPEARANCE: light medium straw yellow, nice frothy white head, maybe a tiny bit hazy TASTE: decent amount of tropical hops, citrus/grapefruit, light grain, light medium hop bitterness, PALATE: quite sparkly and astringent upfront, a bit light and thin, followed by some dry mouth residual, numbs the tongue a bit OVERALL: interesting and mostly good take on a lager, hoppiness is a bit similar to a (light/session) IPA, enjoyed the hops, beer is kind of light and simple otherwise. ABV 5.4%. 20 Apr 2024) AROMA: light nose, light grain and herbs/grass, APPEARANCE: medium brownish amber, clear, decent touch of grey foam TASTE: flavor changes a bit over the first few sips. malt, some brown sugar sweetness, maybe butter scotch?, herbs PALATE: crisp, light medium body, soft second half, easy hopped bitterness that leads to a light coating/feeling that lingers on the cheeks OVERALL: not bad. I'm not a Märzen expert so don't know how it compares, but this was ok. really good looking. maybe a bit simple in the flavor profile but enough going on that it isn't boring/crap. seems they upped the malt (hence the 5.4 ABV and the sweetness). comes off a bit like a german keller bier. Moderate-to-heavy hoppy (flowers, grapefruit) and light malty (caramel) aroma with some notes of fruits. Moderate-to-heavy bitter flavour with a light sweet note; average-lasting bitter finish. It's certainly not awful, I finished it fine, and a decent effort for what it's aiming for, but not particularly good.
