Grey Sail Captainís Daughter 4.1
Thanks Roger. This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a cloudy to hazy burnt orange to yellow color with a slim fingerís worth of white foamy head hanging around the top for a nice minute and a half before dissipating. The smell started off with bitter grapefruit rind bursting into silent sweet piney hops ever so slightly in the background. Dany sweet onion warms into it. The taste was bittersweet all of the way through. Grapefruit displays more of a pulp flavor as it warms. Sweet danky onion again. Lingering semi-bitter to somewhat sweet aftertaste. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed adequate for the style and for me. Bitterness units hit just right for a DIPA. Overall, what a wonderful DIPA that I would love to have again.

cans. Pours golden orange with medium to fuller head. Smell is soapy but fresh. Notes of shampoo hop, light tropical fruit, and a touch of sugar. This was refreshing and smelled amazing but finished a tad sweet for my liking. Still better than most of the doubles out there these days.

Grey Sail Great Ketch 3.4
Draft @ Alehouse Amesbury. Served pretty chilled in a tulip, massive full head on a hazy gold body. Aroma is grapefrui, tangerine and light grain.

Flavor has a decent malt balance but the hop profile is bold enough to make you think itís is an all out IPA. Decent bitterness with a good amount of citrus and traces of pine. Texture has a dry citrus rind hint.

Grey Sail Captainís Daughter 2.9
Tap at Rogue Island, Providence. It pours clear yellow / gold with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, bread, lemon-lime, limeade, pine, sherbet and some onion. The taste is crisp, rather bitter, underlying malty sweetness, quite a lot of onion character, spring onion, spice, grass, pine needles and dull citrus with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. The onion character puts me off quite a lot. Once you know itís there, you canít escape it... A shame.

Grey Sail Pour Judgement IPA 3.9
Can at home in CT. Many thanks to the great Sandino. Pours a cloudy dull gold with a frothy, off-white head. Nice, vibrant tropical fruits in the nose, also peach, melon, orange, pale bread. Medium sweet flavor with a sturdy pale malt structure, then plenty more juicy, lightly oily hops, more citrus, some papaya, pine, mango, only slight grassy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, with more mango, peach, tangerine, some gooey pine, moderate pale malt sweetness. Really solid stuff overall. A very drinkable IPA.

Fresh 12oz can. Pours a mildly hazy orange gold, white head. Aroma is huge pineapple, mango, tangerine, guava, mega tropical / citrus hop, faint sap. Flavor is full of the same tropical fruits, sweet malt, faint boozy passionfruit and guava cocktail. More of a delight than I ever would have expected... Big tropical fruit bomb. Go RI.

600th beer rating. Canned. Pours hazy light yellow, big frothy white head. Aroma is heavy tropical fruits, big pineapple, mango, light tangerine, light dankness, hint of grapefruit. Could smell this all day. Flavor is light tropical fruits, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, just a burst of citrus and tropical fruit. Absolutely amazing. Love this beer. Been dying for a northeast IPA and this delivers. Great way to celebrate my 600th beer.

Grey Sail Flying Jenny Extra Pale Ale 3.8
From the can. Heady hazy yellow pour. The aroma is more hopped up for a pale ale with grapefruit, orange, pine, and grass. The body is light to medium. A toasted grainy malt character at first and the bitterness tends to be less orange and more grapefruit and pine.

Grey Sail Captainís Daughter 3.9
Fruity, papaya, apricot and peach, soft bitterness with a soft background that pushes to hops forward, slightly creamy mouthfeel, masks the alcohol great.

Holy mama. This was just a pure pleasure. Almost session able. Dangerous stuff. Gorgeous aroma. Pine, citric, biscuits and tropical in a lovely balance. Looks great also. Cloudy yellow-ish color with a smashing head. Nice lacing. Solid body and a smooth carbonation. So easy to drinkÖNice balanced sweetness versus bitterness. Citric, biscuits, mild tropical and pine. Unbelievable nice creamy texture. WOW! No information about brewing date. But I belive this one is quite fresh.

Grey Sail Captainís Daughter 4.1
Can dated about two weeks ago. The beer has a rich golden color and each can does have a bit of sediment if poured fully. Aroma has bright tropical hops, resins, mid range bitterness, citrus rind, mango, and underlying sweetness. Mouth feel is medium and the carbonation strong. Flavor is just as jucy, dry citrus rind, complementing bitterness, solid tropics, and a bite into the finish showing some heat. It is a solid double but not overdone and I appreciate the alcohol being on the lower end of the style.
