Revival Juliet 484 Stout 3.9
Got in a BIF from tasterschoice62. 22 ounce bottle into signature tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense dark tan head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, molasses, leather, tobacco, herbal, wood, licorice, raisin, prune, light peat smoke, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, molasses, leather, tobacco, herbal, wood, licorice, raisin, prune, light peat smoke, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, molasses, leather, tobacco, herbal, wood, licorice, raisin, prune, light peat smoke, and yeast/roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt and fruity yeast flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Russian imperial stout. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt and fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

On-tap at Brutopia. Served in a 12-oz tulip. Thick and black with a lovely deep tan head. Served too cold. Waited a while for it to warm up. Very chewy and tasty. Lots of dry roasty notes with just enough hop balance. Very nice!

Taste is lots of coffee, brown sugar, toffee, cocoa, toasted bread, somewhat earthy and grassy with a roasted bitter finish. Light body with medium carbonation. Not a bad beer just needs more body.

Revival Conga Imperial IPA 4.7
Aroma - Very hoppy, floral, piney with a hint of stone fruit and spice. Appearance - Bright, golden orange with a fluffy white to off white head. Taste - Up front hops balanced by the malt and rye spice that works very well together. Slight warming from the alcohol but very balanced and hop forward. Everything an IPA pushing 10.5% should be. Palate - Medium to lite mouth feel, dry beer that finishes without much residual sweetness. Well fermented and crisp. Overall - If this was available in Florida, this would be a go to double IPA for me. It’s delicious and refreshing. It’s all the great things a west coast IPA has brewed in the north east.

Opaque, tan and fluffy head. Intense and complex nose. Very full body, intense flavor, silky texture, hot mouthfeel with abundant carbonation, lingering palate, tasty and balanced finish. Sweet, bitter, crisp, well balanced. Roast flavors predominate, as expected, tar, coffee, milk chocolate, lactose, hoppy, yeasty, resiny, malty. Superb, what a discovery! And a local brewery.

12oz bottle pours a dark, almost black but brown around the edges and a brown head. Smells heavily like coffee beans and a little bit of vanilla bean. Thick, relatively low carbonation but it’s there. Tastes of dark coffee, pretty overwhelming actually. Dark and roasted coffee, no milk or sugar, quite bitter. Nothing too special but I like it.

sample at mondial de la bière 2015 - mtl. unclear dark golden orange with a creamy light beige cap, some retention and lacing. spicy oranges, citrus, piney-minty - classic usual C suspects; lightly toasted maltiness, melon spicy fruitiness, light sweetness - barley sugars, maple syrup and caramel, some wort, almost clean. average to light carbonation, light body, assertive but still semi-sweet spicy-piney finish. clean and decent for sure but already forgotten old-school brew though.

Revival Burnsider Pale Ale 3.9

Revival Double Black IPA 4
On tap at Fete for the Grown Ass Prom..in Providence, RI. First one gave me a buzz, and the 2nd one gave me an even bigger buzz! Black IPAs are hit or miss for me, but this was one of the best ones I’ve had. Great hop-malt balance, with a smooth creamy texture. Will have to look out for a bottle of the bourbon aged version on my next visit up here.

Revival Zeppelin 3.8
Purchased a 4-pack and glad I did so. Zeppelin is a fine example of the Hefeweizen style. Banana flavor is definitely present but not dominating. Citrus and hops also blend into the flavor mix. Light on the palate - not too filling and could be a fine session beer despite the 5.5% ABV.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Nikki’s Liquor, 4/30/15, NFL Draft 2015 beer!

Aroma: The aroma is full of clove/spice, Belgian yeast, wheat, orange zest, and floral notes.
Appearance: It pours a clear orange color with a very large, frothy, off white head and average lace.
Flavor: It tastes along the same lines, good balance with the spice, sweetness, and light bitter.
Palate: The mouthfeel is pretty solid, drinks nicely, though it has slightly too much carbonation.
Overall Impression: An o-lineman makes sense. As for the beer, not too bad at all. Solid, drinkable, will made hefe. No complaints from me.
