Twelve Bar Modulation Stout
Collective on Tap, Woodinville. Total cola pour, almost no head. ok roast aroma but insanely weak, wattery body. Way out of left field. weak wort, little carb, pretty bad.

Twelve Bar Modulation Stout
Draft pour at the Collective. Pours a cola brown with zero head. Thought maybe I accidently ordered the root beer from the appearance. Slightly roasted malt aroma. Is this a stout? No body to it at all, and very little depth. Not complex. Just malty with a dog treat finish. I canít hate this, because it doesnít taste bad, but itís just not finished, and not what a stout should be. Weird. Weird beer.

Twelve Bar Harmonic ESB
Draft pour pint, as part of my on foot Woodinville brewery crawl. Iím running between places now, but it may be a literal crawl before all is said and done. Cloudy copper in color with a bubbling head. Sweet aroma of malts. Flavor is a little dry, sweet geain, and a cool dry finish. Very easy to drink. Very light feel, but the flavor is present. Good beer.

Twelve Bar Supertonic India Black Ale - Bourbon Barrel
Draft pour pint at the 192 lake trail taproom. First look at this beer I thought there was no way this will work, and that the combination would be bad. Hops and bourbon.. Iím not convinced. Pours jet black with almost no head. Hop forward aroma with minimum roast. Hop heavy up front, slight grassy, cabbage, and all the roasted malt in the finish. Hard to really pick out the bourbon at all here. I guess nothing about this beer is offensive to me, but I feel like this one needs work. Either that or the idea is just strange. Dusty finish that lingers. I could see a project like this going far worse.

Twelve Bar Pentatonic Pale Ale - Lemongrass & Ginger
Draft pour pint at the 192 lake trail taproom. Had this a while back and took notes, because I needed to confirm accuracy that this beer was in fact new. Same pale recipe, but brewed with the lemongrass and ginger, and itís not hidden by any means. Pours a golden color with a nice hop forward aroma. Ginger comes in huge up front and lingers. Light citrus background. Would love to try this side by side with the regular.

Twelve Bar Cut Time ISA
Draft pour pint at the 192 lake trail taproom. Pours a bright golden color, plenty of foam head and lacing. Fresh hop centered aroma. Crisp, refreshing flavor without the bitterness of a lot of others sessions. I would have very much enjoyed this beer through the summer. Solid session.

Twelve Bar Wicked Riff IPA
Draft pour pint at the 192 lake trail taproom. IPA day so I thought Iíd walk next door and grab a draft pint of something to celebrate. Since today isnít session IPA day, this one was my winner. Pours a light golden orange color with almost no head. Hop forward aroma, and smells fresh. Medium body, well balanced IPA with a bitter finish. Pretty standard overall. Hop flavor is nice throughout. Itís good.

Twelve Bar Wicked Riff IPA
Bottle from Elizabeth Station, Bellingham
The bottle opens with a prolonged hissing sound, and it pours a cloudy golden color with excessive frothy head. The aroma is a bit spicy (the yeast), the hop is sweaty. Dry mouthfeel, with some malt flavor, strong bitterness, a tannic and woody feeling, spicy, pungent; the hops are lemony.
Could have been a good beer, but there are many signs that itís lightly infected and off.

Draught at 192 Brewing Lake Trail Taproom
Clean blond color. Smooth, softly sweet, but a bit too much wet cereal character; correct bitterness.
Ordinary.

Twelve Bar Turnaround Northwest Red Ale
Very, very nice! When the label said "Northwest," I was thinking hoppy. Nope. Think super smooth, red ale-type amber, heavy on the malts, and super wonderful flavor profile. Recommended.

Bronze body, a bit hazy, thin head. Breezy hop nose that begins like an island zephyr, but then transforms into steamy, oxidated staleness. Very bitter body, accompanied by oxidated carbodard right from the start.

Twelve Bar Wicked Riff IPA
Draught @ The Pine Box:   Darker golden, pale haze, a little dirty, moderate frothy white head, nice lacing.   Sweet pith on the nose, citrus peel, and soft pine.   Raw on the tongue, assertive without being too bitter.   Citrus oriented, nice malt balance.   Goes great with this pretzel.   Really zesty.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Strong citrusy finish, pith and peel, moderate sweetness.   Decent local IPA.

Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. Brownish-black color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops and sweet malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Twelve Bar Supertonic India Black Ale
Sample Bottle:   Deep brown, small tannish head, little lacing.   Combination fruity and chocolate malt nose.   Not terribly hoppy or bitter, at least in the aroma.   Fruity start, apple skin, roasted malts, but not all that biting.   Seems almost more in common with a lighter Imperial Stout than a Black IPA.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A bit more hops on the finish, soft, not too biting.   Malts die down at this point.   Seems all over the place.   Starts out like a weak Imperial Stout, cept that its a bit more fruity.   Lacks the hop punch so common in the style.   Yet finishes with a bit more bitterness and black/chocolate malt one comes to expect.   Decent, but seems to vary widely from start to finish.

Taster @ PNA Summer Beer Taste 2012. Totally drinkable IPA. I actually prefer my IPAs to be more malty (perhaps too malty) and so this one did not stand out for me much at all. The guy pouring it seemed really nice. Where does that go in my score?

Nose of ashy malt pine ink and something undescribable - wet cardboard? Pours black with a tan head. Flavors of ashy malt and floral bittering hops. Actually more bitterness than flavor. Thin. "Meh" (Jon, 2009).
