Growler brought from VFC´13. Wine glass. Very dark brown color, deep copper tints to the light. Light tan froth & brief crown – mainly due growler. Aroma profile displays toasted & caramel malt, herbal hues, dark fruits – like plum & dats- & chocolate notes. Fresh toasted malt flavor at first sip. Medium to full body. Soft carbonation. Viscous texture & silky palate. Candies & subtle herbal bitterness in the middle linger as a licorice candy into a long sweet/bitter finish. Fruity aftertaste. Loving bitterness is slightly felt but present. Soft astringency & very kind ABV is shown as a sugary touch. Well balanced & nice spot of the Style!! Sunday, October 27, 2013

3.5 Jo en Vull Original. Bottled@One Pint Pub, Helsinki (old backlog, thanks to Mankke & co for sharing.) Amber colour, small off-white creamy head. Aroma is toasted malts, some caramel malts, mild toffee and some berries. Flavour is berries, some caramel malts, toasted malts as well as some earthy notes. Balanced. I wonder if the 7 % is something theoretical, didn’t feel that big, even though it was quite well bodied. Monday, September 10, 2012

3 Jo en Vull Original. 330ml bottle (One Pint Pub, Helsinki, Spanish Weeks 2011) 6 Slightly sharp, but some good roasted grains. 4 Slightly hazy rich caramel. 6 Slightly sour dark berry, some caramelly sweetness. Fairly full roast. 3 Full body, sweetish and a little sticky, lively carbonation. Finish quite husky and with earthy bitterness. 11 Very solid dunkel, shame about the sour aspects. Didn’t realise it was 7% when drinking it - it covers that pretty well. Thursday, December 8, 2011
