Small (1 or 2 oz.) pour at Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival. Consumed on 2-6-16. Pours a clear yellow to gold with a small amount of beige head. Lemon, lemongrass, and blood orange scents. Dry tartness in the aroma. Middle Eastern food flavor. I do get the hops in the taste (Citra or Mosaic?). Mineral, celery, and rhubarb. Tastes really good! Beer-like palate.

On tap at Schilling, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma is intense, with lots of fresh ginger root drowning out everything else. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of ginger root and medium dry apples. Not a big fan of this. Itís reasonable for what it is, but itís not a ginger bomb.

2 Towns The Dark Currant 3.1
On tap at Schilling, pours a hazy pinkish red with a small pink head. Aroma is very fruity, with very dry currants dominating. Flavour is the same, with medium sweet red currants upfront, with a touch of tartness and a lingering puckering dryness. Works well enough. A fruit-dominated (non-apple) cider. Decent.

2 Towns Serious Scrump 3.4
On tap at Schilling, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out super dry apples with a light farmhouse bent. Flavour is bone dry, with but very complex, with red apples, some light residual sweetness, and lots of alcohol. Finishes somewhat sweet and very boozy. Despite the harshness, I found this enjoyable.

2 Towns Made Marion Marionberry Cider 3.5
On tap at Schilling, pours a hazy pinkish red with a small pink head. Aroma brings out lots of medium sweet berries that dominate the palate. Flavour is among the same lines, with very refreshing juicy red berries. Medium sweetness but itís all seemingly naturally occurring sugars. Very nice stuff.

On tap at Schilling, pours a clear vibrant golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is quite crisp, with champagne yeast, low-medium sweetness and green apple skins. Flavour is complex, with notes of champagne yeast, medium sweetness and crisp green apples. Very crisp, champagne-y and highly drinkable. Excellent.

On tap at Schilling, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out medium-dry sweetness, some apple skins and some lightly tart juiciness. Flavour is intense, with lightly tart green apples, low-medium sweetness and alcohol. Quite intense flavours - could use some refining, but itís quite nice for what it is.

2 Towns Master Reserve Batch No. 01 3.9
750 mL corked bottle poured, shared by Chris C. Thanks! Near transparent pour with no head. Jet black bottle and label, I expected a dark cider to pair. Fresh apple aroma. Cider aroma really. I have a hard time differentiating cider aromas that donít have additional additives. Juicy apple flavor with a refreshing, cool finish. Not nearly the amount of barrel presence as I expected. Still, great flavor and quenching finish. Awesome cider.

This is probably the best Cider out there. I donít particularly love the taste of Ciderís, so when you make one 10.5% alcohol, I can enjoy it in that way.

A pale blonde cider with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity apple with light acidity, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a sweet fruity apple juice with light mineral notes, plain, OK. On tap at Real a Gastropub.

Rating #1517 - 17.03.2015 - On tap at Amplified Ale Works. Clear, pale, faintly yellow colour, fairly carbonated, bubbly foam dissipates rapidly. Aroma is fresh cut apples. Palate is more, some ginger sweet notes, balanced by the dryness provided by the ripened fruit and alcohol . Not boozy in the slightest though, very drinkable. Crisp, balanced, delicious. Not overly ginger-forward, just a lovely complement to the crisp, well achieved cider.

Incredibly bright red in colour, surprised by how grape it wafts. Overall good and so very berry. Not sicky sweet with a tart and slightly sour finish.

I was surprised to see the amount of criticism regarding this cider. Itís a heavy alcohol by volume at 10.5% for 500ml from Oregon , gluten free and 4% honey wine. It pours heavily with the honey visible floating in this golden liquid. Iíve had the opportunity to enjoy the best of the best when it comes to ciders and while this is certainly no DuPont, other ciders Iíve had recently can not hold a candle to this one, including Angry Orchard. I was impressed, and will pick up some more next time Iím able to.

2 Towns Nice & Naughty - Barrel Aged 2.5
On tap at Schilling, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is perfumey as hell, with lots of barrels and booze. Flavour is hugely barrel heavy and boozy, with loads of whiskey, booze and perfume. Too abrasive and lacking balance and cohesion. Not a complete trainwreck but itís pretty hard to drink. Meh.

Just not a very good cider. Opposite of complex with a quite medicinal taste. I know itís 10% but it doesnít have to be harsh - thatís the opposite of what cider is supposed to be, in fact.

On tap @ Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Hazed straw colored beer with a thin layer of white foam. A lot sweeter than expected. A lot of apple pie, some apple juice, and a hint of banana. Maybe some grape as well. Light pie crust and slight spice notes, too. Not bad, just a bit sweeter than I usually like for a typical draft cider.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours bright magenta. A is ? made me think watermelon, but thatís likely due to the color. Med minus body. Flavor is sort of mild Hawaiian Punch, and thatís not just due to the color. Partly because itís fruity, and partly because it finishes a lot less than dry.

Growler from Albertsons. Cloudy pale golden body, medium carbonation. Tart apple aroma, followed by more tartness in flavor. Fast finish, mildly dry. Lots of bang up front, which then fizzles out.

On tap at PreFunk. At first glimpse, an ordinary cider. Appearance and aroma tracking, but taste brings in the wood aging, with some nice drying (very dry) tartness at the finish. And then thereís the ABV....it will sneak up on you. Well done.

This cider is dry enough that it doesnít come off as soda pop. Itís clear yellow and totally headless. This has a pretty strong ginger aroma and a good deal of apple as well. Itís lightly sweet w/ a pleasantly strong tart bite. The ginger note to this sort of lacks complexity. There is plenty of flavor but it doesnít really have that deep earthy, spicy bite of fresh ginger, which is kind of a bummer although this drinks pretty well overall.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy perry color with a slight white head that left rapidly. Aroma is sweet apple. Near med body for a cider. Flavor is a little sugar and a touch of tartness in the finish. More drinkable than many a cider - meaning more enjoyable - despite the fact it is rather far from dry.
