A bit peppery, beany, older coffee. Chocolate and caramel from malt. Not super inviting. Roasty, mildly bitter, malty with good attenuation. Neither very strong nor very sweet, this is a definite lightweight, almost into ESB territory rather than stout. I cannot taste any hazelnut at all. Slightly sour aftertaste. Drainpour. Smells like a standard pale lager with a hint of lemon. Basic pale lager flavor with as much ginger flavor as lemon flavor. Semi-tart finish. Easy drinking soda-like flavor.
